FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I don't attend any training. But, I did sign-up to get email newsletters from cleaning businesses, that stay up on new trends and tons of helpful hints/tips. Plus I ordered several books on cleaning business. Which, all these have been very helpful, since my only cleaning experience in the past was in my own home.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started this business, because a friend of mine that cleans homes as her only means of income. She was struggling in acquiring new clients and also didn't have the means to invest money in trying to get her business to grow . So, she approached me to go into business together, she would do all the cleaning work and I would be the investor and handle, bringing in new business. But, as soon as we started and was seeing that profits weren't building as quickly as she thought it would. We had more going out than coming in, her interest was no longer there. Plus, it started getting more complicated, because she wasn't willing to be accommodating, to clients that needed service on the weekend's. Which, seems to be more of this type of requests. But, at this point for me it was hard, because clients were starting to expect more of this service. Since, I am the primary investor and wanting this business to grow. I stepped in and got my hands dirty, which is not a bad thing, we all need to step out of our comfort zone every now and then. Anyone that has a business and want to see it succeed, knows that sacrifices need to be made, even if it means doing it yourself. In time it will start paying off. Up to this point I am very happy in maintain this business and seeing it grow and prosper.
