  • Light Point Body Works

    (1 reviews)

I offer Thai partner yoga therapy, Swedish massage, and deep tissue massage. My specialty, Thai partner yoga therapy, is a unique blend of massage therapy and yoga. It is a superior therapy for the mind, body, and spirit. It creates feelings of relaxation as it releases worry, fatigue, and distressing emotions from the mind-body system. In our stress-filled world, where overthinking creates chronic anxiety, sleeplessness, and mental exhaustion, Thai partner yoga therapy unifies the mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical aspects of the individual to create feelings of wholeness and well-being. In addition to these mental, emotional, and spiritual benefits, Thai Partner Yoga Therapy provides many physical benefits. It is an excellent tool to support healing and pain reduction. It is an excellent tool for managing chronic illness. I am a licensed massage therapist and a certified yoga instructor with an excellent base of training and skills.

  • Taylored Massage

Taylored Massage is where I 'tailor' the massage to you, the individual. I focus on the structure and function of the human body. Balance is key. I use a number of specialized techniques to accomplish these tasks. - Deep tissue, taught after the manner of Ida P. Rolf's teachings. - Touch for health or Applied Kinesiology. - Myoskeletal alignment techniques as taught by Erik Dalton. - Assisted sretching to help the muscles and the brain communicate. I use a very scientific, but intuitive approach you may find different than other massages you have had in the past. For those of you have not had bodywork before, rest assured you will feel at ease and comfortable the entire time.

  • Free Bodied Massage Therapy

Leah has helped resolved back pain, hip pain, headaches, shoulder pain, neck pain, sciatica symptoms, golfer's and tennis elbow, and carpal tunnel syndrome. She practices Root-Release Therapy (combining trigger point, myofascial, and deep tissue) and educates clients on self-care practices, so they can stay out of pain and do the things they love! Root-Release Therapy gets to the root cause of pain and imbalance. The area you experience pain is not usually the area of imbalance. In the case of low-back pain, most often, there is tightness somewhere in the legs or hips. This tightness or shortness causes an achy or tense back, because the muscles in your back are compensating and working harder against gravity. That's why, when you get a massage that only works on the area of pain, you don't experience sustained relief. It might last a week or so, but unless you resolve the root imbalance, your pain will continue to return. Leah gets to the root of an imbalance, and her clients are always amazed at how she can find the right spots when they didn't even know that area needed attention. Here is what one client had to say: "I went to Leah with a tight back and shoulders, and was getting a migraine. I am very picky about massage. I like a deep massage and no talking. Leah got all of my spots and my headache went away, and I had more mobility in my neck. Leah was amazing. She has a healing energy. I highly recommend her." - Sharon S, photographer

  • Seva Studio

Seva is a Sanskrit word signifying service in the sense of the selfless giving of oneself for the betterment of others and the world around us. At Seva Studio, the concept of service takes the form of a "pay it forward" massage therapy and yoga studio, where we enter every relationship not as a provider of a service for a consumer but as a wholehearted human relationship, as collaborators in the transformation and healing of the heart, mind, body, and soul, and so the fundamental spirit at Seva Studio is one of generosity. In the spirit of generosity, someone who came before you made a gift towards your session. After your visit, it's your chance to pay it forward for a future community member in need of healing by donating any amount you would like in order to continue the circle of giving. Each therapeutic massage is a unique and blissful free-flowing blend of various massage modalities tailored to your specific needs. A therapeutic massage may employ massage modalities, such as Swedish massage, neuromuscular therapy, deep tissue massage, acupressure, Russian massage, shiatsu, reflexology, and facilitated stretching. Yogic principles, such as deepening and lengthening the breath, and cultivating relaxed, clear attention to the present moment, are often helpfully integrated into your massage session. These are offered to foster a sense of wholeness and wellness.

Thumbtack Spotlight

The Posture Consultant

(24 reviews)

Do you want to be relieved from body pains or postural dysfunctions? It's time for you to visit Graham Davis spa/retreat center for healing. They assist clients who have work related injuries, overuse of certain tissues, and injuries due to car accidents.

I have made it my mission to learn any new skill and modality that helps relieve these issues! I have furthered my study with the Guild for Structural Integration and UCMT's Master bodywork course!

I have helped a client who had severe neck discomfort, bladder issues, and back pain. We were both so pleased with the results; he even lost some belly fats and gained some tone in the abdominals.

When Graham checked on the client a month later, the back pain was gone, range of motion continues to improve, and the bladder dysfunction was gone.

If you're looking to improve your body awareness, range of motion, alleviate pain, lower stress, and feel better, consider the posture consultant, Graham Davis. Discount packages are available for you!

  1. #1 Matrix Spa & Massage

    (47 reviews)

    Taisia A.

Matrix Spa was truly a beautiful, clean, and serene place to be. From the moment I entered I loved it. However, when it came to the actual massage itself -- I was pretty let down. I purchased the diamond couple package and my girlfriend feels pretty similar; the massage was ok. And normally that would be fine, but considering how much we spent and the expectations we had -- it's not ok. I probably won't return but if you're looking for a really relaxing message (we wanted deep tissue) and a nice environment - then this is the place for you. Edit: This review is being edited to reflect a new perspective I have. Matrix reached out to me (which in itself is terrific), but I then went on to have one of the best massages I've ever had. So thank you Whitney and thank you Matrix!
