Introduction: Derick Dodge brings a lot to the Lori and Lisa sell team. He brings a tremendous amount of energy, determination, and competitive spirit that truly puts his clients first. Derick attended Dixie College on a pottery scholarship. After which, he then moved to Salt Lake City after a summer as a river guide in Moab, UT. Derick has spent the last 15 years becoming a real estate expert focused on the Avenues and Sugarhouse neighborhoods. Derick's real estate interest originally sparked in 2001, after applying for a mortgage through a local Salt Lake City broker. The broker was taken with Derick's outgoing personality and offered him a position at his firm as a loan officer. Since then, Derick has spent many years as a loan officer giving him a very unique edge in answering his clients questions on the financing side of real estate. When not helping clients, you can find Derick exploring the area with Gretta and Dax, his St. Bernard and Beagle. Derick also enjoys riding his bike, meeting the neighbors, and finding reasons to host a get together with friends. Derick volunteers with the Salt Lake Arts Council and organizes events for the Road Home, a local homeless shelter. A portion of all Windermere commissions goes to the Windermere Foundation, a program that helps make positive differences in the lives of your neighbors.

The process of buying a home can be so stressful; from finding the right home to coordinating everyone’s schedule in order to make the magic happen. It felt like Derick was a close family friend that we had known for years, which made the process an added bonus. He never hassled or pressured us to just get into any house, but every time we needed him to show one or just calm our nerves during the process he was quick to respond from early in the morning to later in the night. Derick took his time with us giving his honest opinion about the quality of the home, how much work we would have to invest, and even when we found a home and I wasn’t sure it was ‘the one’ he was still willing to take me out to see more just so I was comfortable with the one we already chose. I highly recommend Derick Dodge; he gave us his quality time every time and made the experience a good one.

Derick was instrumental in both finding me the perfect home in Salt Lake City, and subsequently helping me sell it to facilitate my move out of the country. His enthusiasm for real estate is unmatched, and his network of buyers and sellers is paramount. He maintained consistent communication throughout the entire process, and kept me up to date on each step of the transaction. He utilized his local knowledge to negotiate on my behalf, educating the buyers on the true value of the neighborhood. In my experience, there is not a better Realtor in the Salt Lake area to meet your needs.

I recently realized that my apartment lease was coming to its end soon so I decided to call Derick to see if he could help me find a house in a short amount of time. He explained that if we start looking right away that we could likely make it work. That same day Derick sent me houses to view online and the next day we were out looking. Derick always answers his phone and also responds immediately to texts and emails. I highly recommend his services.

I have known Derick for several years and always rech out to him when I have questions about homes or moving. Last fall I inquired with Derick regarding possibly buying a home and although I wasn't able to at the time he still helped me find a place to rent while I work on my credit. I am excited to work with him again this Summer to buy a home.

    As a buyer on residential property, there is never any cost to you! If you are selling a property the pricing can vary depending on what type of property you are selling and what different types of marketing you would like to take part in.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    Contacting the person and getting a feel for their wants and needs. Depending on whether they need to buy or sell, their work location, where they recreation, if they have children and/or pets, and neighborhoods that appeal to them. I then take the time to work with them until a perfect match can be found to fulfill their wish list.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    I currently hold both a UT real estate license and a UT mortgage license. I continually engage in continued education at the board of realtors, at our several different offices, and online courses.
