- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?This is a fun question! I have a Master's degree in game production, which at first glance seems totally irrelevant. However, in this industry "production" essentially means facilitating effective communication, so I've spent my professional career writing documentation that can be read and understood by people from various backgrounds. I take that experience and apply it to resume writing by distilling down your work experience into concise, impactful statements that will draw the attention of anyone who reads it.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?The big one I always ask is "If this resume works perfectly, what's the dream job you would want to find with it?". I ask this because resumes should always be tailored to specific job postings, knowing what types of jobs we want to target helps us find postings for similar positions online and then target the content accordingly. This will help your resume make it past automatic HR screening software, which is becoming more and more common in hiring today!
