Introduction: I am currently accepting students ages 3-adult for private violin lessons in Lehi, UT and surrounding areas. I offer lessons at students' homes, online, and at my two studios in Lehi and South Jordan. I have received teacher training for Suzuki books 1-4, and have eleven years of experience teaching students from beginning to advanced levels. With a focus on the Suzuki method, my students start their music journey learning proper violin technique with a focus on learning their pieces by ear. Supplemental materials are also used for note reading and music theory. I focus my advanced students on concertos, etudes, and scales to help prepare them for auditions and competitions. I am committed to helping students reach their individual goals and to help them discover exciting paths for their music. I received my B.M. in violin performance from Brigham Young University and a Master of Music degree at Boise State University. I have travelled internationally to perform chamber music in Italy and Slovenia and have played in professional orchestras throughout the US.
DaNece Lyman offers solo violin music with the option of piano backing tracks for weddings and other events. With a masters in music and my experience in performing music internationally and in professional orchestra settings, I can provide your event with a timeless, curated selection of music, fit to your style and preferences. From classical pieces to modern renditions of your favorite ballad, I can work with you to find the ideal musical blend. I provide all sound equipment for piano backing tracks if desired and do not require an outlet. I am open to meeting or speaking before the big day to help you learn more about the services I can provide.
