Laura is one of the most amazing humans I have ever met! I am so happy to have her as my trainer. She is helping build my confidence and reach my goals. She is extremely professional and knowledgeable and makes you feel very comfortable even if you are just a beginner (like me!) Laura has also been instrumental in my healing process after the loss of my father. Her empathy, optimism and belief in her clients is what makes her so much more than a personal trainer. Do yourself a favor and get in contact with her if you are needing training or wanting to gain your confidence back. You won’t regret it!!

Just over a year ago I began my search to find the perfect personal trainer. We had tried diet. We had tried exercise. We had seen doctors. We had spoken to nutritionists. There was weight loss but it was always followed by weight gain. We needed a workout program that would work for the individual - not a one size fits all approach. We needed a healthy eating plan that we could live by long term and not just a diet that could never last. We wanted someone who could understand the struggles of living in a body too big and the ups and downs of losing the weight. And then - I found Laura. When I started working with Laura, I was in the middle of a move, and I was frustrated. I was eating too many processed foods, and I lacked energy. I was very nervous about remote training. I was nervous about my exercise form and Laura's ability to give me feedback on the workouts. I was wrong. From the first session two months ago to present day, I can confidently say that Laura helped me reach my weight and fat loss goals by being consistent, responsive, attentive and intense. We focus on new workouts so that my body does not plateau. I have already met my initial goals, and I cannot wait to see how far I can go with Laura's help. One moment that especially stuck out to me was when I told Laura that I felt like I wasn't seeing results (I spoke too soon), and I was exhausted. Laura did some research, analyzed my meal plan and adjusted my workouts. It made a difference. You don't get a one size fits all model with Laura. She tailors her workouts and approach to her clients. I'm truly grateful that I found Laura.

Laura is such a good trainer she doesn't just help me with my workouts she has helped me in so many other aspects. She's always quick and ready to respond with all my questions and I always look forward to working out with her even though I get so sore after 😂

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    I'm a big believer that no matter how much you know, there's always more to learn. Between doing my own research, reading up on the latest fitness/nutrition topics and attending conferences, I never cease to be amazed at how smart and efficient our bodies are and how much they are capable of if we know how to push them.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

    I got into personal training through my own weight loss journey. I was 350+ pounds and felt like crap. I started by just going to the gym and doing cardio every day. As the weight started to come off, I started to incorporate the weight machines at the gym as well. One day, as I was walking into the cardio section, one of the trainers there asked if he could give me a free session so he could show me how working with a trainer could be beneficial. It was a tough half hour, but I was hooked. I signed up for my own personal trainer and the weight began to come off even more rapidly. I couldn’t believe the difference in how I felt! When I’d lost 120 pounds I decided I wanted to help others do what I had done, so I went back to school to get certified. I went on to lose another 70 pounds and honestly, I’ve never looked back or regretted a single second of it. I’m very passionate about what I do, and I genuinely care about my clients and assisting them in achieving their fitness goals. There’s not many people who get to say that they love their job, but I DO!

    Most commonly, I help clients lose weight through workouts geared just for them, guidance on nutrition/food logging and by holding them accountable.
