You can always be sure to get great tips from her on how to practice better at your own level. The good thing is she starts where you are at--No matter how old or young or how long you've played the cello.The best teachers who know their stuff will be able to explain it easily to a child. The down side is she can talk a lot if you have questions. Note the time that it may take from each lesson.Her pricing is fair considering that intermediate or advanced students wanting to learn the cello can find some good technique from her. I consider myself to be advanced and find her teaching well worth it.She'll teach you more than just rhythm or how to get a better tone. She can help you be more confident in yourself, how to prioritize what matters most, and how to accomplish your goals as a cellist.The atmosphere there is welcoming and cheerful. Her place is free of distractions and kept clean. (This allowed me to focus during the lesson.) One thing I wish she could do more is play with me so I can synchronize better with her.The last thing to consider is her own opinion on specific matters. "Take it with a grain of salt" she says. For some things regarding cello, teachers may have a different opinion in many cases. Bow hold, for example, can be taught differently based on the wide range of teachers and their experience. That being said, I believe she would correct you if you did it wrong. She will help you along the way. I would recommend her as a highly qualified and professional teacher.Great Job, Kaitlin.
