Rachel is an awesome teacher! She is very thorough and well rounded with her teaching. She also used several different books as well as different composers to learn from. I also love group lessons and playing for old folks homes. This has been the best experience in private lessons that I have ever had. Something Rachel could work on is maybe not going over on lessons...oh wait! I appreciate that because she never wraps up a lesson until Inunderstand the concept fully! She's great!
I have not had a chance to talk to them ad book an appointment yet, but their emails and information have been very good. I believe I will use them for guitar lessons.
Jessika is a really good teacher. She explains the theory clearly and gives good useful tips on how to remember things. She is really nice and friendly. Along with the exercises we did that week, I can also choose a favorite piece to practice, and I chose Canon in D (I am a beginner), which makes me really excited to continue my piano learning journey. She did not give a specific length of hour to practice everyday. As long as you diligently and consistently practice, you are in a good position. Thank you Jessika.
My 6 year old daughter started violin lessons with Marianne in Feb 2018. She has been very patient and kind. She is very knowledgeable and my daughter has enjoyed learning to play. I highly recommend Marianne.
I really love working with Dr. Starr. I have never walked out of his class without learning something new. One thing I really appreciate is that he takes the time to explain the violin/viola method he teaches. I gain a deeper understanding of technique once I know why. I have had many "Oh, that makes sense" moments. Another thing that makes class fun is that his personality is very buoyant, because he is very jovial yet earnest. He has never lost his frame of mind, considering I am a teenager. He always looks for my full effort and expects the best from me, which is something that has helped me personally. I took practicing lightly before I learned how to practice effectively. I highly recommend him to anyone who is thinking to take violin/viola lessons.
Flavia is a great teacher. My kid had taken violin lessons around half year and he found a lot of fun play violin. Flavia make my kid love violin and music now.
My daughter has taken violin for many years. My daughter started studying with Melaine and her violin expression and tone improved greatly. On top of her violin playing improving, she also enjoyed playing with Melaine and looked forward to her lessons with her. I would recommend Melaine for all ages without reserve.
Kristen responded right away, shared her training and work experience and availability for private lessons.
My five year old daughter began violin lessons with Sarah four months ago and I have been thrilled with the progress she has made in such a short period of time. Sarah is wonderful to work with. She is kind, positive, fun, encouraging, and knowledgable ... all of the qualities necessary for a successful and positive learning experience. I'm happy that my daughter's introduction to music lessons has been a great one, and I'm excited to see how far she goes with it!
I grew up classically studying and performing the violin with Callen since we were 4 years old. We were taught well, and we were taught HOW to teach. Callen devotes a lot of her time and passion into her teaching. She was trained very well and has been trained in how to be a very effective teacher. She knows what it takes.
I love how she does group lessons because it gives time for my daughter to play in front of other people and put her new skills to use. Mary is a great teacher
