Great Adventure 2000

Introduction: I primarily offer the development, testing, printing, recording and distribution of educational materials such as instructions, examples, exercises (oral written, multiple choice and completion), games, puzzles and more which are related to teaching and learning English as a second language as well as Spanish, French, Portuguese and Italian disseminated over the internet and in the form of printed booklets and MP3s. A particularly popular and effective method employs songs and music (popular, classic, opera). I have received very little direct personal feedback related to correcting and grading, complimenting and encouraging because I am now retired, and I have no staff or personnel doing it. Those who contact me one way or the other, however, are quite positive in their assessments. This has been my major profession for many years in the U.S. and to a lesser extent in Chile, Argentina and Mexico where SAE (Standard American English) is taught. In Chile, I was an honorary professor at the Universidad de Chile's Valparaiso and Vina del Mar branches. I also taught evening classes in Alto Impart, Quillota, Quilpue and other locations. As extracurricular activities, I taught drama and debate classes and organized clubs in which participants conversed primarily in English but also in Spanish. In the dance classes and the dances, the music played employed English lyrics, and a requirement was to converse in English. Many of my U.S. students (Weber State University, University of Utah and Brigham Young University) enjoyed their classes so much that they decided to become teachers of other languages themselves mostly in the U.S. and also abroad. In my frequent travels, I was delighted to come across some of them and visit their classes. Recognition of my endeavors was expressed in various ways, most prominently by a request by men and women of Italian descent employed at Hill Air Force Base (near Ogden, UT) who yearned to learn or improve their usage of their parents' beautiful language.
