Going Yogue is great! Guarav walked me through the movements and what to expect, as it was my first yoga experience. Because he is so passionate about meditation and yoga, Guarav goes above and beyond to provide potential solutions to personal concerns. And overall, he is just a very positive person!

At the start of my training I was very unfamiliar with proper use of equipment and had spent little time in the gym! Personal training was a big step out of my comfort zone as I had never followed a set routine before, Michael alleviated all of my worries and started me from the ground up! He is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to excercises that beginners can preform, and has developed a program with visible progression and results. Would highly recommend him for his attention to detail and knowledge of nutrition and excercise as well as a fun workout!

I have taken Gentle Yoga with Asya at Sun & Moon for years. When I heard that she was offering a more personalized therapeutic class, I jumped at the chance to address my particular problems -- back issues, bad knee, Morton's neuroma in my toes -- all things that made some yoga poses very challenging for me. It was wonderful to have her focus on my issues, and she helped me develop a personal practice to work on these things. Her gentle and encouraging voice, strong knowledge of anatomy, and inventive teaching style made it pleasurable as well as useful.

If I could give her 6 stars I would! I am a tennis teaching professional and my job is very physical. During the last few years I had been experiencing injury after injury which was taking all the enjoyment out of my work. Corey is actually one of my students and she encouraged me to try Yoga with her. I was skeptical at first and thought Yoga was for "other people ". I could not have been more wrong! After one session with Corey I could tell this is exactly what I needed. I have been working with Corey for the last 6 months and I feel 20 years younger! Corey is not only a fantastic Yogini. She is incredibly knowledgeable and well versed in many schools of physical fitness. Like Pilates, Cross Fit, TRX?? She knows it all. Incredibly, her expertise does not stop there. Corey is also a walking repository of nutritional information. Going to Corey is a great value, she just knows so much and is so willing to help! In conclusion, the other thing I like and admire about Corey is that she practices what she preaches. She is in great shape and an athlete herself. As an athlete, that's important to me. I highly recommend you give her a try. You will be glad you did!!

Mark Goldfarb has been my trainer since 1999 and I’ve probably been with him the longest of his clients. He is professional in our relationship but also a very caring person. He has researched ways to help train me when I have had an injury or surgery. He has much patience and a way of “pushing” me when I’m not motivated. He is responsive when I have told him that I am unusually sore after a session, adjusting the weights accordingly, and usually spending more time on that muscle. I have sworn that I will never be able to do a certain thing he wants me to do and slowly but surely, I will get there. I like the fact that he uses lots of different approaches to training the same muscle group. It is not only a good way of doing it, but it keeps the workouts from getting boring. Besides the weight machines , he uses bands, bosu balls, straps, discs and a variety of other resources to train. Not only is he interested in building my strength, but increasing my flexibility and balance. In addition, he is a certified yoga instructor and includes many yoga positions in my workouts. This has definitely increased my flexibility. In short, I would highly recommend him as a personal trainer.

I don't often take Yoga however one of the things I enjoyed about Dante's Yoga Class is that he gave the history and context for each of the moves. He was professional and patient as he observed to make sure I did the moves correctly. I look forward to taking another class!

I recently booked Vanessa for a yoga and reiki energy healing package. She worked with me to create a custom package for what I needed. Vanessa is a great 1-on-1 instructor. After the first session I already feel so much more relaxed.

I met Gretchen when I was starting my second trimester with a twin pregnancy this past spring. My husband thought private pre-natal yoga sessions would be a perfect way to keep me healthy throughout my pregnancy. Gretchen was amazing to work with! She was friendly, energetic, and had a calming nature. I expected to take 1 session a week with her, but decided to engage in two weekly sessions. I honestly believe that Gretchen is the reason my pregnancy and delivery went so well. After my C-section the doctors told me they had never met a twin mom that was so flexible right after delivery. Gretchen is the reason for that. She not only taught me yoga, she provided mini-massages to help relax my pregnancy aches. She checked in on me regularly if we didn't meet, and she was willing to work with my schedule. She brought the music, equipment, and even recommended better mats to help my practice. I would recommend her to anyone looking for yoga instruction. I will soon be starting post-natal services with her!

Two years ago I started treatment with Martha for anxiety/depression issues and a life that felt too constricted. During this time I’ve been able to stay off medication and to try dance and yoga classes that have been a joy. Beyond this, I have gained an understanding of Five Element theory that has guided my approach to each season. Martha is a compassionate and intuitive healer who uses acupuncture but also herbs, stones, and real listening with patients who heal and grow due to her care.

About

My classes are satisfying. It is an experience of challenging mind and body! When people snore at the end of class, and wake up drooling. It's very rewarding to see people sleep deep

About

I offer traditional hatha yoga. The practice is quite different than how modern, western yoga style are practiced. Each asana and its philosophy should be logically coordinated. As I learn yoga, I know only two: Patanjali's Asthanga yoga and hatha yoga, but it is quite different than other patented yogas.

About

Rather than offering group yoga classes, I primarily focus on one-on-one private Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy sessions and 8 Week Mindfulness & Grief groups, as well as drop in meditation classes. Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy is done one-on-one in a confidential environment. To begin, I lead you through a guided meditation to help you set an intention or goal for the session. Then I gently move and stretch you while you relax on the fluffy mat - honoring your own body's needs and limits. At the end of the session, I lead you through another guided meditation, which allows you to reflect on how the session relates to your life. Then you are invited to set an "action step" to do outside of the session, which will help you take a step towards your initial goal. It may be to relax, to heal from grief, or family and career related goals. I have been giving sessions since 2003, and offer a satisfaction guarantee. If you don't like the session, you don't pay. (No one has ever had to take me up on this!) I am the author of Mindfulness & Grief, which is based on the 8 week group that I created and facilitate. The program also includes a day long retreat halfway through the program, and is open to bereaved people who have lost a loved one to death. Watching my clients transform their stress and grief into posttraumatic growth. I am always amazed by their resilience and ability to overcome any obstacle. It may not seem possible to them when they first walk through the door, but over time transformation takes place.
