Introduction: I am a professional in my 30s with a background in teaching, tutoring, and counseling. While completing my master's degree in writing at George Mason University, I taught undergraduate courses in composition, literature, and creative writing, tutored students at the university writing center, and provided private tutoring for international students. I also became certified to teach English as a foreign language through the National TEFL Academy. Additionally, I recently completed a master's degree in school counseling at The George Washington University. During this program, I interned at an elementary school, a middle school, and a high school. I have experience working with kids of all ages, cultural backgrounds, and learning differences. My counselor training has helped me develop a compassionate and multicultural approach to tutoring. I am open to tutoring kids or adults on their reading, writing, and ESL skills. Corinne was great as a tutor. She approached the subject matter we worked on together in a creative and easy-to-follow manner and made each session fun. I've never had much confidence in my writing skills but after working with Corinne I feel totally different about the quality of my work. Because of her guidance I no longer dread writing assignments. Corinne's methods and techniques are assets I'll be able to use in all subject matters and moving forward in school (and life!). I can't recommend her enough!

Corinne was my history and philosophy tutor and helped me mostly with writing and reading comprehension. She is one of the best that I have ever met. She is patient and I’ve learned a lot from her in the last five months that she has tutored me. I am an older student who has gone back to school in order to receive my Bachelor’s Degree, which I will be receiving this September, but without Miss Corinne's help I would not have made it and this is the honest truth. She doesn’t make a person feel bad if you’re not sure of anything, she just works with you until she knows that you understand the assignment in order to pass and go forward with your next subject and until she is comfortable knowing that you now understand. You can’t asked for a better tutor than Corinne. Also, she was there to help me through some very tough times while in school, such as information that I wasn’t sure of and was afraid that I would not pass these classes if it wasn’t for Corinne’s help. As I said earlier in my letter if you decide that you ever need a tutor for your son or daughter or even yourself if you are going back to college, please chose Miss Corinne, because I highly recommend her service. She is one of the best and I am so grateful to have had the chance of meeting her especially in the time of need when I did. As they say, when God sends special people in our lives, he sends them for a reason and I was definitely sent an “Angel”.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing will depend on what type of tutoring the student needs. If it is strictly assistance with grammar, pricing will be on the lower end, but assistance with the overall structure and content in addition to grammar will be in a higher range.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to set up an initial meet and greet to discuss the customer's expectations and make sure we'll work well together. If we both agree it's a good fit, we can set up a regular time to meet that works for both of our schedules.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Master's degree in Writing from George Mason University, where I also tutored international students and taught two years of undergraduate composition and literature courses. Additionally, I am certified to teach English as a foreign language through the National TEFL Academy.
