BEFORE EVENT I had a FANTASTIC experience working with Chef Kev, and I'll try my best to do justice to his services through this review (I don't think it's possible!). I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND him to anyone searching for an easy-going caterer who is attentive, accommodating, customer-service oriented and who takes control of the event to completely relieve them of any stress related to food/catering/kitchen. I accidentally came across Thumbtack while looking for certain supplies for my event. Once I realized that I could search for caterers, I thought I'd give it a try. Chef Kev was the first caterer to respond with a detailed menu based on my description of the event (3 or so others responded to ask me for more info without making ANY attempt to use what I had already provided in my initial description!!) . His proposal was well-thought out and it was clear that he had paid attention to my description and came up with a customized menu on such basis. It took me a day to respond to him because I was certain that it wasn't possible for the first proposal to be EXACTLY what I had in mind and even better than what I imagined. After having analysed the menu several times :-), and there was still nothing to change, I wrote Chef Kev. We had a call to discuss the proposal. Chef Kev was very accommodating as we worked through the proposal (I increased my initial count and added a couple of dishes) and discussed day-of logistics (e.g., I wanted the mac-n-cheese passed around in martini cups, wanted the food served in chafing dishes, etc.). MENU The food was fantastic!!! Everyone enjoyed it and they had seconds and thirds... A number of guests took to-go plates and I had some of the leftovers for breakfast :) Here's what was served: 1. BBQ salmon bites w/ malibu-rum ginger smashed sweet potatoes 2. Mesquite mini burger sliders 3. Oven roasted vegetables w/herb ranch aioli 4. BBQ sweet-n-spicy beef bites 5. Teriyaki turkey meatballs 6. Vegetable pasta w/ sautéed vegetables in a sundried tomato dressing 7. Scampi black tiger broiled shrimp & parmesan cheese grits 8. Caribbean jerk chicken party wings 9. Jumbo lump red pepper mac-n-cheese EVENT DAY I had initially wanted a caterer to drop-off the food, but decided to have one of Chef Kev's servers stay for the event, and that was the best decision EVER!! I had completely underestimated how much I would have had to do given that my event had many moving pieces. Chef Kev and his assistant Kim were FANTASTIC the day of the event and I couldn't have asked for a better team. When Chef Kev noticed that I had a lot of moving pieces and balls in the air (translation: slight event-day chaos), so he took control and decided to stay longer than we had discussed in order to make sure that things started off well and were running smoothly before leaving his assistant to run the rest of the event. I literally worried about nothing -- Chef Kev handled things efficiently and with a high degree of professionalism. In fact, at some point, Chef Kev sent his assistant with a plate for me...without that, I may not have ever gotten around to eating!! This is just one example of the types of light touches Chef Kev made throughout the planning and execution of the event which made my experience with him deserving of the five stars. His level of customer service was outstanding and my guests loved him, and several people asked me for his contact information.
Pambo Serge was the most amazing professional chef ever! His food was absolutely amazing including the food prep, setup, and cleanup ..this experience far exceeded our expectations! His pricing is more than fair for all you receive. I highly recommend him and we'll use him definitely again!!!..thank you so much for your outstanding services! !
Where do I even begin? If you have the opportunity to hire Chef Diane, you absolutely should! My husband and I hired her as a personal chef for one week as a special "stay-cation" and she is fabulous! Diane called us the week before she would be coming to plan personalized meals that we would love, she was always punctual, she was so personable and easy to talk to, she was very reasonably priced, and, perhaps most importantly when you are hiring a chef, the food was DELICIOUS! :) We couldn't be happier with our experience and it certainly won't be the last time we hire chef Diane with RedFox Dinners!
It was a stroke of brilliance on my part to engage a professional chef to cook my 60th birthday dinner instead of doing it myself or having my foodie friends provide a pot-luck. Why? Because Chef Matt took care of everything so that I could relax and enjoy my time with friends. Matt was easy and pleasant to work with both in the planning and execution of the dinner. My guests and I were especially impressed with the high quality ingredients, including Alaskan salmon and grass-feed beef, and the sauces that were flavorful but not overwhelming. All the vegetables were fresh and nicely seasoned. The theme was Mediterranean and Matt started us off with abundant charcuterie/cheese/vegetable boards that were also beautiful to the eye. He took into consideration the dietary restrictions of some of my guests so that everyone had plenty to enjoy. I will definitely have Chef Matt in my kitchen again. My friends agreed that we are ready for a new twist on pot-luck where everyone just throws in some money for a personal chef service and sits back to reap the fruits of someone else's labors, all in the comfort and coziness of our own home. Chef Matt will be the first one I will call!
Chef Jacky is really a joy to cook with. She held a cooking lesson for my family and I, and we had an absolute blast and learned a lot! She was friendly, hilarious, and effective. I intend to definitely schedule more cooking lessons in the future.
How do you plan a reception for 500-600 people where approximately 200 of them are famished teenagers or preteens? Scott is fantastic and continually goes above and beyond. We planned our 25 person wedding weekend entirely from out of town, and couldn't have done it without Scott. From our first emails and Skype conversations, Scott made us feel heard and cared for -- something we definitely did not feel from the other four chefs we met with. He provided clear menu options and helped tailor the perfect selections, including accommodating our halal and vegetarian guests. Months later, our guests are still raving about the meal Scott prepared and entire experience he delivered. Beyond catering the evening, Scott and his team helped us evaluate the venue, find and acquire the linens & place settings, pick out & deliver flowers, and purchase food for the rest of the weekend. We highly recommend Scott as both a chef and as a trusted advisor with a big heart.
I am so happy to write this review for the excellent service provided by Mary. Mary is not only a great professional chef; but she is also enthusiastic about her cooking and takes the time to understand her clients needs. I must add that she is a wonderful person to interact with. Food plays an integral part of my family's day; and I have no hesitations knowing Mary has prepared our meal! I know when I open the package containing the food prepared by her, I'll be in for a delicious treat!! I wish Mary all the best and will continue to work with her for nutritious and delicious meals.
Enjoyed a wonderful sampling of foods from this caterer. I had never tasted such delicacies as Boolanee before; what a treat! Chef Nasrin is as pleasant as she is talented and her food is everything you hope it will be and more.
My company had their annual health fair and we hired Chef Iyea to do the cooking demonstrations. She was so helpful through out the menu planning process and very delightful to work with. Our staff loved her energy and recipes. I would highly recommend her!
Sandra is the best chef I have ever experienced. Everything about the event FAR exceeded my expectations. She added special touches such as a printed menu, ice cubes with edible flowers inside, had her staff take pictures. I will never consider another caterer ever again. Pure perfection!
Veronique was an amazing chef and were couldn't have been more pleased with our experience. She cooked an abundant and highly flavorful meal for our family of 16. Her food was beyond my expectations. She even made a separate meal (from start to finish) for my daughter who doesn't eat meat. Her ingredients were well chosen and fresh. Her personality was pleasant and fun. She even allowed our kids to help her prepare the meal as a fun way to participate in the evening. She stayed much longer than I thought she might to make sure our meal was thorough and complete. And to top it off, she dealt with a challenging kitchen that might have left less skilled chefs floundering a bit. I couldn't have been more pleased with our experience and I would highly recommend Chef Veronique to anyone looking for a yummy, fun meal.
Chef Giovanni is not only a creative and dynamic chef, he is also a warm person. I was so relieved to welcome Chef Giovanni at my house for my dinner party, he put me at ease with his calm demeanor and ideas. We had been exchanging emails and texts the week prior to the event, he was responsive unlike other chefs I had worked with in the past. Chef had also been tasked to provide a meal for a pescatarian, gluten-free guest, and a no shell fish guest. When Chef arrived, he took several inexpensive bouquets from Trader Joes and transformed them into stunning centerpieces for my dining room table. The entire dining room morphed into a chic bistro that looked like it should have been in the south of France as opposed to Maryland. Once the first guest arrived, the smell of bouillabaisse was permeating the house and the guests were excited by the aroma but also the drinks and amuse-boushe Chef had prepared for their arrival. The amuse-boushe was phyllo dough stuffed with spiced lamb. It was crunchy on the outside with flavors of raisins, spices and lamb on the inside. This was an exceptional way to start our culinary journey! Once the guests were seated and wine was poured, the appetizer was served. It was not my favorite combination of flavors but others seem to enjoy it. Next the main course, the bouillabaisse was served. I was stunned to see how beautiful the bouillabaisse was prepared; with cilantro and lime on top and was chocked full of lobster, crab, scallops, fish. My guests were asking him for the recipe for the rue and the steps to making such an intriguing meal. The dessert was also nicely done, my guests really enjoyed the presentation and the taste. Chef Giovanni talked about what he made, helped serve the guests. He also helped pour the wine and kept the night flowing. Chef Giovanni also left me with a spotless kitchen which was the perfect end to a perfect night. I am a customer very happy with a first-time experiment with inviting a chef into my home. I think it is a great way to entertain without breaking the bank. When you consider how much time and preparation that goes into an evening like this, I feel that Chef Giovanni provides quality ingredients and exceptional service for a reasonable rate.
Stephanie was awesome. She came fully prepared, fully stocked and ready to handle any level of experience with our team. Our teambuilding event was truly delicious and successful. I would highly recommend using Chef Steph for any event!
We used their personal Chef service to have a romantic cadle light dinner. In one word: Amazing. The meal was Michelin Star worthy as the time and attention that went into every detail allowed my wife and I to totally relax having to do absolutely nothing. What also impressed me was the clean up. When they left, the kitchen was spick and spam clean. The experience was so good that we are already thinking about hiring them again for an upcoming Holliday party. And lastly, as anyone reading a review wants to know, the price was extremely fair, as they gave us choices to match the amount we were willing to pay; so we both had an incredible meal worth every penny for the price we paid. We highly recomend you choose Hautz Eatz!

Chef Nikki is the BOMB.COM!! She and her husband Paul are excellent in the kitchen and on the grill... She can cook for me and my husband every day if she wants too, we will never turn her down...😂😂😘😘Every meal is excellent and tasteful down to the deserts. Nikki is very clean and sanitary, you don't have to worry. She takes her business and license very serious... It is my pleasure to offer this recommendation to Chef Ronald Cager Jr. I had the fortune to employ him for a romantic “Just Because” dinner for my husband and I. He and his business associate worked with me to understand my preferences. My expectations were achieved in taste and presentation. Chef Cager’s client centered approach was greatly appreciated.
