Introduction: Hi, everyone! My name is Tom Augliere. I started Barcroft Builders over 30 years ago. My business model was simple -- top-shelf workmanship, fair prices and lifetime warranties on all of our workmanship.
I am that confident that once a project is done by my company, it will never need to be repaired. We are full-service experts in every field of construction with 19 VA class "A" licenses.
I am local. I grew up in Lake Barcroft and went to Jeb Stuart High School, married my college girlfriend and have two great kids. I love animals. I have two dogs, two cats and a bearded dragon I inherited from my son when he moved out of our house. We are a one-stop shop; call us and we will price, spec out, design and build your project -- from fixing a door to complete kitchens and baths, deck and outdoor living spaces, basements and additions, and all facets of commercial work. We are your contractors!

My project included a kitchen ,two bathrooms ,a new deck,floooring lighting, paint and trim. My contractor couldn't of been better, every phase of the project was executed with perfection and attention to every detail

Tom responded last May to my request on Thumbtack for some tricky foundation repair on my parents' house. His Barcroft Builders crew did an incredible job at a very fair price, compared to what the others were quoting. He explained how the job would be done, wrote a very detailed task description and estimate, contracted with an engineer to design the solution, and made sure all the proper county permits were obtained. They did such a great job with the foundation work, I had them do other updating work as well - kitchen, foyer, and bathroom tile flooring, repair work on brick, and many other things. I can't say enough about Tom and his crew - he has a rare combination of expertise and heart. I highly recommend them for all your contracting needs. I would not hesitate to hire them again for future work.

Coming into this project, we were quite skeptical of contractors- in part because we had several who promised quality work and failed to deliver on their promises. After our home inspector failed to take note of a twisted carport beam when we bought our house, Tom came in right away with a no pressure fair bid and offered free advice regardless of whether or not we chose his company. While the work was seemingly straight forward, given the beam was load bearing and we wanted a new age look, the project was rather tricky. His crew, however, did an incredible job at a very fair price, compared to what the others were quoting with many other unwilling to do the work. Every step of the way he would offer advice and carefully explain how the job would be completed. As stated by another reviewer "I can't say enough about Tom and his crew - he has a rare combination of expertise and heart." He has renewed our faith in both contractors and (more importantly) honesty and integrity as a person. Tom and company will be our go to crew in the future! Happy to call him a friend going forward.

Tom was amazing...I had a list of items which needed done after our home inspection. Tom gave me a quote and did the work within a week. Tom and his team were able to complete all of the items with an exceptional level of quality. Toms takes the time to ensure you are completely satisfied with the job. I won't ever use anyone else!!
