- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I am a creative, an artist and designer and am always looking for ways to put my creativity to good use. I enjoy working with different spaces, designing new environments and working with people. I realize that not everyone can visualize what their new home or environment will look like, so I help clients with bringing their visions alive.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Always go with someone you feel you can trust and easily work with depending on your schedule, timeline and availability. If you have a specific timeline in mind, share that with the designer so he/she can determine whether they can fit it within their calendar and current projects.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Designing spaces takes time. It may take anywhere from 3-5 meetings until you are fully satisfied with the design. If you are on a budget make sure you focus on spaces in which you spend the most time in. One great tip I always tell my customers is to gather images from design magazines on how you would like to see your new space, this will help every designer envision what you are dreaming for!
