I initially contacted John to set up marriage counseling for my husband and I. I spoke with John for 20 minutes before we even set up an appointment and he put my mind at ease during a very difficult time. I was excited to work with him hoping that my husband would be just as excited. Although my husband decided not to continue counseling, I continue to go to John and it has been an unbelievable experience. John is caring, supportive, empathetic, and motivational. He has helped me to find myself again, something that I thought wasn't possible after my relationship was over. If you have any hesitation about calling John, pick up your phone now, it will truly change your life. Thank you John for believing in me, and showing me how to live the life that I really deserve.
Mrs. Bee performed my husband and I ceremony for our wedding. She was flexible, easy to talk to, kind and patient. She offered us words of wisdom and helped us create meaningful unique ritual during our ceremony. She was punctual and went above and beyond from the time we first met to the last. I will recommend her to other couples pursuing marriage.
We used Denise for marriage counseling. She is approachable and extremely knowledgeable. We appreciated her warmth and ability to help us navigate our relationship as we became empty nesters. We feel that with her assistance we now better communicate and have developed a better sense of trust. We know that we can go visit her for a "tune up" anytime!
My husband and I have had a couple of marriage counseling sessions with Michael and we have enjoyed them very much. He focuses on giving you "take away skills" for each session. We are excited to see where our future sessions will take us.
Over the last 4 years, Marian helped me (and continues to help me) through what has been, hands down, the most difficult time of my life. Perhaps most important for this field, Marian easily combines knowledge, passion, skill, empathy, and sense of humor--as appropriate--to help you process your thoughts and emotions--even in the most intense situations. Marian has a unique ability to connect with people. She is unflappable in the face of dysfunction--and eager to meet clients where they are to work through the individual dynamics they face. I highly recommend Marian's services. I've recommended that more than 10 friends and family members reach out to Marian--and some are now regular clients of hers as well. If you still aren't sold on contacting Marian, let me give you a sense of the quality of my experience. I moved almost 2 years ago. Since then, I travel more than 60 miles round trip to continue using Marian's services. Marian is that good. Call her.
I first became acquainted with Rev. Deck as a member of Reid Temple AME Church. Rev. Deck delivers a weekly "miracle prayer" that has never been less than powerful. Rev. Deck is an awesome man of God who also uses humour to break down barriers. Rev. Deck provided pre-marital counseling to my now husband and me. He embodies the spirit of calm and was able to help us negotiate the differences inherent with all couples. Rev. Deck is an objective and compassionate counselor. His Bible-based interventions are essential for any individual, couple, or family. We also had the immense honour of having Rev. Deck officiate our wedding ceremony. We are forever grateful for the role he played in the time leading to our wedding. We are comforted to know we can seek his counsel at any time in the future and plan to do so!
Awesome marriage counselor and minister for weddings. Dave and Patti are great examples of what marriage is.
I would I have never gone to a counselor on my own. So when my wife suggested I sit down and talk to Omega, I was hesitant. When I was ready she listened and did not judge me. She then helped me realize I had to be accountable for my wrong doings and take the steps needed to change my situation. I am forever grateful to Omega for her honest(at times blunt) advice. I still call her when I need her, change takes time
To be honest, I cannot speak highly enough of Raffi. In just a couple of sessions, Raffi had already began to successfully impact our marriage. Both my wife and I continue to be impressed with him and our progress each week. He is genuine in his demeanor and sincere with his advice. He is patient with us and seems to balance when to listen versus when to overrule us perfectly. Most importantly, Raffi is nonjudgemental and does a fantastic job identifying and treating the source of the issue as opposed to merely dealing with the symptoms. We are especially grateful for his willingness to work with us despite running a significant amount of time over on numerous occasions. The value he has offered us is truly evident in our everyday lives.
Bishop Yarborough did an excellent job right from the beginning. He was our wedding/ marriage counsellor. His attention to detail concerning our understanding of marriage from a biblical standpoint was excellent. He guided us every week of our training into detail classes where we could ask questions. He discussed with us the type of wedding that we desired and then when the time came, He performed a beautiful wedding ceremony. We would highly recommend Bishop Yarborough to any couple for counseling or wedding preparation.
Tony Keith Ministries hosted a wonderful marriage retreat. My husband and I truly connected on a deeper level and the facilitators provided a transparency that allowed the group to feel comfortable and free. We plan to attend the next retreat. Awesome experience! Jaime and Crystal Robinson.
I've worked with Mark several times over the course of the past two years, on both personal and professional issues. He's helped me immensely. He seems to be able to see things that I don't, maybe because I'm too close to the problems, maybe because he understands things about people that I don't. I don't know. What I do know is that if it weren't for his help, I'd likely still be stuck in some bad places. I've worked with a number of counselors and coaches in my life and Mark's the best.
The Pastors were amazing, treated us like family! They are very professional and experienced at what they do!
Connie is a wonderful therapist. She listens, is very objective, and--most importantly--teaches new ways of communicating. She's been instrumental in helping my husband and I restore our marriage.
My wife Lindsey and I had the pleasure of working with Art as our pastor throughout our wedding process over 5 months. We had met Art through family friends and immediately hit it off. We knew that Art would be the best fit for marriage counseling and officiating our wedding as he paid tremendous attention to detail. He wanted to know every bit of our "story", any reservations or hesitations about marriage (and our special day), and how we wanted to incorporate our love for God into our ceremony. As we are busy, career-driven professionals, it was wonderful to have a pastor that was up on the times and could easily jump on Skype to have counseling sessions remotely. Art was very flexible and accommodating as far as scheduling counseling sessions, and was able to roll with some of the curveballs thrown on our wedding day (e.g. down pouring in the middle of our ceremony and starting back up again at another location). But most importantly, Art was able to help us better prepare for a lasting marriage with a clear mind, warm soul, and open heart. He helped us ask the difficult questions to one another as we were preparing to be married. We addressed faith, money, family, and even specific details about our wedding day. We loved how easy Art was to talk to and how excited he was to be a part of our day! The personal touch he added to our ceremony, through incorporating our families and what he had learned about us in counseling, allowed us to more clearly see the true meaning of our wedding day: the beautiful act of marriage in front of God and our loving friends and families.
Rabbi Slatkin was calm and sensitive. He provided a neutral and safe place for us to explore what led to my wife's affair a few years ago. He showed us new ways to communicate, and we practiced with him there. That made it easier to keep doing better when we got home. We are connecting more, and I'm starting to feel like I can forgive and move on. Our family is already lighter and healthier. We also really liked the office atmosphere, and how we did the sessions face-to-face. It cut the tension, because it's hard to be angry when you're that close with someone. We never felt like religion was emphasized beyond what made sense for our situation.
For over 30 years, Frank Trotter has been a minster, friend, mentor and voice of sound reason to my family and I. After doing online marriage counseling (20 years ago--we were both in the military in separate countries), Frank travelled to Vegas to perform a marriage in Red Rock Canyon for my husband and I. His heartfelt, lighthearted and intelligent spontaneity made him a top choice for this purpose. Frank is a person of exceptional character and charisma, and now my young children know and love him for the same!
I went out seeking a marriage counselor to help repair my marriage and found Dorina. It was important to me to find someone who could empathize with my situation as well as coach me through some of the more challenging aspects. Dorina offered the first appointment free so I could get a feel for her coaching style which was very helpful in making my decision. We hit it off right away and she has been very helpful in my progress. She offers reasonable rates, packages and payment plans. She's awesome, would recommend her to anyone who is seeking help for one on one or for couples.

Greetings! My name is Kate, and I am a counseling professional in the Washington D.C. area. I have been working in the field of psychology since 2006, and I have been practicing as a family therapist since 2012. I am trained in the Functional Family Therapy model, an evidence-based, short-term model of therapy. Other areas of practice include marriage counseling as well as individual counseling. I am offering professional counseling services to clients in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area. As a professional in the field, I have come to appreciate the importance of engaging the individuals, couples and families with whom I work in a setting that is most comfortable and convenient, for them. I travel to my clients at times and locations they specify. From the busy mom who has a few hours free while her kids practice after school sports to the business professional who'd like to utilize the office's empty conference room during their lunch hour, I make my services available at times and locations most comfortable for my clients. I also offer virtual therapy sessions at a reduced rate. Please check out specifics in the questions and answer section on my page. Please note I do not accept insurance; however, I believe you will find my prices to be reasonable. Because I am still in the process of fulfilling licensing requirements, I accept a reduced hourly rate for my service. Specific pricing information is located in the questions and answer section as well. Please note I do not complete formal assessments or diagnostics for severe psychological conditions. I am also unable to prescribe medication, as I am not a medical doctor.
