I offer my highest recommendation on behalf of Donald Townsend and his team from Old School Carpentry. Over the past 10 or 12 years Donalds company has worked here at our farm on a wide variety of projects, including new construction, renovations, additions, interiors, exteriors, and outbuildings. Often these projects have involved historical materials and techniques appropriate for our house, which is on the National Register of Historic Places. Again and again they have done wonderful work for us. Ample evidence of their high standards, creativity, and impeccable workmanship is seen everywhere. Their budgets have been reasonable, and their billing fair and timely. Donald and team performed outstanding work completing a foreclosed home we purchased from rough in to gorgeous. Top marks for trim work, deck build and custom built shelving, window bench.

Old School Carpentry worked with me on an extensive kitchen renovation, including removing a structural wall and relocating several utilities (water & HVAC). The work was outstanding and my wife continues to talk about how clean they left our home at the end of each work day. The have also helped us on minor carpentry repairs when needed. While Donald is highly overqualified for these minor drywall and trim repairs, he was happy to help us out as a past customer. This saved us dealing with someone we didn't know or trust and we were comfortable the job was done correctly.
