They were excellent. I called them for a move out cleaning on my apartment. I told her I wanted my oven cleaned as well and she went above and beyond. Not only did she clean my oven and refregerator but she pulled them out and cleaned behind them, she also pulled out my washer and dryer and cleaned behind that as well. Overall, it took them a little over 2 hours to clean the apartment from top to bottom. They left my apartment sparkling clean. I would definitely use them again and recommend R Star Cleaning & Janitorial Service to everyone.

Overall, Kay did a good job. However, the floors did not looked like they had been mopped, which I had requested. The same tiny spots that were there before Kay arrived were still there after she left. I had to mop the floors after she left. Otherwise, everything else was clean. She did a great job of making the inside of my oven look brand new!

I requested a deep spring cleaning. Shantel and Tyrone were professional, courteous, and my home looked and smelled wonderful when they were finished. I am a registered nurse with limited time and energy for the every day cleaning and it piles up so quickly. I am glad to have met these young people who take their business seriously and I trust I will be using them again.

Shawn is my cleaning soul mate! I am a OCD perfectionist with high standards. I hired him do a total clean after a move out, including the oven, carpets, bathrooms, windows, etc. When Shawn started to clean the scuff marks off the walls, I knew it was a match made in Heaven. He was also flexible, prompt, professional, and all at a great price!

I am very happy with the cleaning work by Deniece of House Cleaning 4 U. She wasted no time getting my house clean and bright. Deniece is very accommodating, tries hard to please the customer, and offers greaty value for the fee she charges. I plan to continue to use her service.

I scheduled Rena and her team to come out this past Saturday morning to perform normal house cleaning and some deep cleaning. Rena and her team (of two) arrived on time, were very professional and did a SUPERB job. I maintain a fairly clean house so expected them to be in and out in about 1.5 hours. 3 hours and 15 mins later they were leaving. I cannot say enough good about their thoroughness and attention to detail. I will definitely utilize Syndicate Cleaning Services in the very near future as I've decided to have them return on a monthly basis. I appreciate your hard work Rena and team, the Condo looks amazing! Thanks, Wes

Katherine and Rob did an amazing job cleaning the home I was renting at a very affordable price (Two stories and 2,900 sf). They arrived on-time and were extremely thorough in cleaning the entire house. The oven looked like new inside and out. The windows, bathrooms, and windows never looked better. I have a black lab that sheds everywhere and they got up all the hair on the baseboards and had them looking like they were just painted. Thanks to them I will be getting my entire deposit back.

I would give her ten stars if I could! I reached out to Linda at the last minute a few Fridays back to help me do as quick a turnover as possible on a very messy move out. She made room in her schedule and got started later the same day! She and her team did wonderful work. The place really was trashed. They got it sparkling, even the oven and fridge!! I would highly recommend them to anyone. I have known Linda for many years. She does what she says she will and is always on time. She is ethical and quality driven. Customer service and satisfaction are very important to her as well. Lastly, her prices are very reasonable, so much so that I tipped her an extra $100 as the quality of the work was so much better and farther reaching than expected expected. No dirt or debris was to be found! It was almost as if they had worked magic!

Joy was referred to me by my Real Estate Agent. She has been at my house twice. On her first visit, she has done a complete house cleaning. On the second visit she did a complete kitchen cleaning which included the double oven and the all cabinets interior. She is a great person to know and keep for all future house cleaning.

So this was my first time using a cleaning company and I must say I was beyond impressed! They arrived on time and got right to work. It only took them about two hours and everything was left ten times cleaner than it was before. The scheduling process was extremely simple and I was even able to book online which was nice. Taylor was extremely kind and was willing to perform last minute services at a very short notice. She did an amazing job on my bathroom shower and my oven. Most people tend to lean with the person who gives the lowest price, but the quality of the work is way more important to me. Taylor gave an average price and did outstanding work. This is the only company I will be using for my home. Thanks again for all your hard work!

She was very professional, prompt and her work was outstanding. We completed the walkthrough with ease. She provided a checklist so I could check off the items that I wanted to be cleaned. She also provided me with a portfolio, including a cover letter, resume, references, and checklist. The oven was spotless, bathrooms smelled amazing and my house looked as if I had just moved in. To top it off she left a nice gift basket to thank me for my business. This was a one-time clean, but I scheduled her for bi-weekly recurring.

She arrived 10 minutes early in the snow. She knocked her shoes off before entering the house. It took her 4 hours to clean our rental property and there was nothing left that I needed to clean. She cleaned the fridge and it looked new again! Would definitely recommend her to anyone looking to have their house cleaned by a very professional and thorough cleaner!

Mrs. Holliday can in for a full cleaning after my relatives left after thanksgiving. I cleaned my oven, refrigerator, countertops, tables, all three bathrooms, family room, and all floors in my house. I'm a private woman so our bedrooms were off limits. She made my house look, smell and feel clean without wasting time on small talk. I hate the awkward small talk. I was surprised it was only her who came and that she could complete the cleaning in time for me to pick my kids up from school. Worth every penny.

I was very please with the detailed cleaning service that I received from Blue Collar Girls. My oven has never looked this clean in over 10 years. I would definitely recommend Danielle and her staff to my friends and family.

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much do you pay for house cleaning?

Hiring a professional house cleaning service is a helpful way to have a healthy home even when your work and personal schedule is packed. House cleaning prices vary based on how many square feet your home is, how dirty your house gets, and how often the cleaning service comes. Some companies charge a set amount — such as 5 cents — per square foot, with a minimum amount, such as $100. The national average cost for house cleaning ranges between $110 and $150. Prices can be lower in areas with a lower cost of living, higher in big cities or affluent regions. You may save money by increasing the frequency of your house cleaning visits. Often a company will charge you less per cleaning when you schedule more cleanings per month. The cost advantage rewards your loyalty, and also reflects the fact that more frequent cleanings make it easier to maintain a high level of cleanliness in your home. A housecleaning service may charge more for the first visit or for one-time services than for recurring cleanings.

How much does refrigerator repair cost?

Refrigerator repair generally costs a fraction of the price of a new fridge and shouldhave your appliance up and running again in no time. The problems your refrigerator is experiencing and the parts required to fix it will affect your repair costs. Where you live can affect labor rates, which will raise or lower your costs. Here are some examples of average costs:

  • Diagnostic fees: $50-$100. Repair pros often have a service call fee or diagnostic fee to account for their time traveling to your location with all their tools to assess the problem. If you choose to have them repair the fridge, most pros then credit this fee toward your repair cost.
  • Parts: $20-$500. A new compressor averages $200, an icemaker $300, and computerized components such as touch screens and control boards average $300 or more.
  • Basic repairs: $180-$400, including parts. This price range can include repairing the evaporator or fan motor.

How much does it cost to deep clean a house?

Deep cleaning a house goes beyond the surface level to clear out the dust, grime and gunk that’s collecting on the fan blades, hiding in the blinds, and built up inside the refrigerator drawers. Deep cleaning of a home or apartment costs more than regular house cleaning because it takes more time, effort, and cleaning products. You may choose to have a deep cleaning once or several times a year in addition to your standard cleaning services. You may have a one-time deep cleaning to prepare for company or to clean after a house party. Companies may charge an hourly rate or a price per square foot, or may offer you a flat rate after they have visited your home and estimated work time. The national average house cleaning price is $110-$150, with rates ranging higher for deep-cleaning services. Here are some examples of how a company may calculate their deep-cleaning prices:

  • 10 cents per square foot (compared with 5 cents per square foot for standard house cleaning).
  • $300 for a 3,000-square-foot home.
  • $25 per hour per worker for deep-cleaning services.

How long do fridges last?

Refrigerators can last 10 to 20 years, although the most common lifespan is about 13 years. If your fridge is acting up, consider its current age when deciding whether to invest in repairs or buy a new one. Common easy fixes include faulty thermostats, dirty coils and clogged drain lines. Thermostats and dirty coils can be generally be fixed for an average cost of $80-$100. Clogged drain lines, which usually cause leaks, can often be fixed for under $200.

More complex refrigeration repairs such as replacing a bad compressor or replenishing low refrigerant can cost more because of expensive parts and higher labor. A new compressor costs an average of $200, not including labor. If labor is an average of $75-$100 per hour, and the repair takes 3 hours, you’re looking at roughly $500. Consider the age and purchase cost of your fridge; investing $350 in a $600 fridge that is 8 years old may not be cost-effective.

How much does a move-out cleaning cost?

Moving is hard enough work even before you have to clean the empty home to perfection. Instead of scrubbing your tile grout with a toothbrush, hire a professional cleaning company to provide move-out cleaning services for you. For moving out of an apartment, cleaning prices can range from $110 to $150. When scheduling a move-out cleaning, talk with the pro and confirm all the key points they will clean to ensure you receive your deposit back.

Important areas to have cleaned include the fridge interior, the oven interior, bathroom tile, the shower and tub, all blinds, and sometimes the walls. Some cleaning companies do not quote a flat rate for a move-out cleaning, as the number of hours it may take to clean structurally identical apartments could vary greatly depending on how clean or dirty the inhabitants were. For example, move-out house cleaning prices may range from $150 to $180 for one- or two-bedroom apartments.

Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
