FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My clients should reach out to me if they are having trouble with the fees. I think memories are important and some photos are a once in a lifetime thing. You will never get another chance to photography some of the most important events in life. I do offer payment plans for my clients, and I ask that if you need that option to please reach out to me. I am happy to work with everyone, however I rarely offer discounts on my sessions. Reach out!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When new customers come to me for a session I like to get to know them. I want to know who they are as a person, as a family, or as a couple, etc. I need to know what they are looking for as far as their photographs, but I also really want to know who they are. Once I have chatted and learned more about them then I will go into their needs for their photographs, etc. Obviously we would schedule a location and a date. From there I would send an invoice for the intial retainer fee, to retain the date and time of the session. I would also send out a contract to be signed online. Once the session date arrived I would have followed up with my client multiple times. I like to make sure my clients are comfortable, that they know what to wear, etc. After the session I normally post a sneak peek on my social media accounts within 24 hours. I also send out a "What to expect next" email. Once the photos are all edited I upload them to a personalized gallery and send the gallery link and passcode to the client via email. I allow 14 days from that time for the client to go through the images and choose their favorites. At that time I will also help them to choose any prints they may want to order from the gallery site. They can also share their photos right from the gallery to their social media accounts. After their photos are all picked out, I send them a download link for those specific portraits and a pin. This download also includes a photo print release. After all is said and done I check up on my clients about 2 weeks later and again every few months.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As far as formal photography education, I don't have any. I have a lot of YouTube training and other sources. My mother is a wedding photographer and went to school to be one. She is an amazing photographer and she taught me well. I still have a lot to learn, but I see my work improve daily. Right now I am in school to earn my BA in Graphic Design, and I will be taking a few photography and editing program classes.
