FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, Yes, and Yes. I recently received my Military Relocation Professional (MRP) designation. I am currently the only realtor in our company with this designation. Processing contracts on a daily basis provides an education every day.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started off working part-time as my husband spent a great deal of time overseas in Nebraska and my son was 5 years old at the time. I was the Trust Account secretary for Century 21 handling all of the Escrow funds and paying out all of the commissions. A realtor who worked for a builder and was one of the highest producers in the Omaha area asked me to work solely for him as his transaction coordinator. I did that for a few months, got my license, became his partner and the rest is history. The funny part of it is, I quit after my 1st year of being licensed. Within a week after the banquet where I received my Rookie of the Year award, I quit. I am a workaholic and was not able to set boundaries myself. I was a young, basically single parent. I went back on the clock and became assistant to the Vice President of a commercial real estate company in Omaha. I have stayed "on the clock" pretty much up until now as my youngest is now 16 and they do not need mom as much anymore. It is just time for me to do what I love to do without boundaries. :-)
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Find a home. Market and sell your home. Make sure the transaction gets to the closing table.
