We hired Pat Vogel to create themed menu stations and table dÃ©cor for a Bar Mitzvah aboard the Odyssey Dinner Cruise Ship in Washington DC in late March of 2015. Pat immediately understood the clientâs vision for her sonâs Bar Mitzvah and came up with a number of creative ways to make the ship look extra special. The scope of her work took her full cycle through the project: conception, design, rental and purchase of supplies along with on-site set-up of the dÃ©cor. Pat is a true professional with a flair for design. She is receptive to her clientâs vision and she makes sure she stays within budget. This was the second design event that Pat executed for Odyssey and Spirit Cruises in DC. Patâs work exhibits exceptional quality. She has a great attitude; she was on time and on budget. I would highly recommend Pat Vogel!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
i am currently attending Stratford University to become a Certified Meeting Planner. One class to go.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always been interested in color and design. When I was young I would see a flower that I liked and had to find out its name. Later I started playing with flowers of different colors and putting them in all kind of different container for arrangements. I then had my first job for a plant nursery, then different florists. I worked mostly with corporate clients for large parties and events. I then worked for an entertainment Company for a number of years doing parties of from 20 to 600. The entire time I always did holiday decor - wreaths, garlands, trees for hotels, law firms and yachts.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I just completed decorating the Odyssey ship as well as the 2 yachts for the holidays. The best comment came from the Restaurant Manager who walked on the Odyssey and said he was "Blown Away" by the transformation.
