FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The law office offers reasonable flat fees to handle criminal and traffic cases through the court date, including any continuances. Civil cases may be billed hourly or also completed on a flat fee rate. Clients in personal injury cases are offered contingent fees based on a percentage of the amount recovered in litigation.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I offer free initial consultations to new clients with pending criminal or traffic cases. In the meeting we discuss the facts, the legal system and law related to the case, and review strategies for obtaining the best outcome. I quote a reasonable flat fee to handle the case. If hired, I draft an engagement agreement setting out the scope of the representation and the amount charged for the service.
