Farzan was our project manager. From our first meeting it was clear that he had vision and was able to guide us to how we could build out our walk out basement into a very nice and highly functional inlaw apartment, or ALU as it is called. Farzan also assisted with the necessary permits and basically did what they said they were going to do, and did it in a timely fashion. The project moved along swiftly. He also exhibited flexibility with our selections and worked to address any concerns we had along the way to ensure that we were satisfied.

Cyrus Construction/NOVA Basement Finishing performed a multiple-level renovation of our existing home in Annandale. This is our first renovation project and the team at Cyrus Construction/NOVA Basement Finishing walked us through the process from start to finish, from meeting with us before the start of the project to get our vision of how the house should function, to helping us pick out the various materials and finishes for the project in the companys showroom, and making sure the quality of work met our standards after the project was finished. The house was aging and the team at Cyrus/NOVA greatly improved the functionality for our family; we couldnt be more thrilled with the look and feel of the new space!

I initially found this team on Angie's List and I'm so glad I did. Russell was very prompt to reply to my inquiry and we quickly got moving on a proposal and planning of a base reconfiguration, masterbath and pantry remodel. Russell made planning the project, and working within our budget, easy from 1,000 miles away. Once we got moved to the area we got to know the crew well and they were always so professional, detail oriented and cleaned up every evening when they were finished for the day. I was particularly impressed with one of their tile workers who tiled our shower nonstop one day and did the most beautiful job! He's clearly an artist. Russell was always so easy to touch base with by email, text or phone and he was frequently calling us to make sure things were going well and see if we had any questions. We elected to do some painting and demo ourselves, to save money, and Russell still managed to get us what we're wanting with the money we have to spend. We're so happy with our new masterbath, pantry and basement that we're adding a contract to have our kitchen remodeled and new floors put down. Seriously hire Russell and his crew for ANYTHING you need. You'll be glad you did!

UPDATE - the best contractors step up when there is an issue. Small register problem and Russell bent over backwards to solve it after the fact. Would give 6 stars if possible. Everything below holds true!Russell is outstanding to work with. He provided great vision on the basement remodel, was easy to schedule and gave great suggestions on finishes. His offices are professional and his staff is polite. Additionally, (and most importantly) he took his time describing the best places to make upgrades and where it was going to be less valuable. I worked with several other contractors for a basement quote and he was by far the best. Ill note, weve not started work yet, but based on the pictures and review from other customers very excited and confident it will be great!

We relocated to the Alexandria/Springfield area a few months ago and decided that we wanted to finish our basement in our single-family home. After obtaining a few bids, we settled on Cyrus Construction. In the end, we could not have been any more pleased with our decision. The project manager (Farzan Beyrami) was superb and displayed professionalism at all times. The job actually started ahead of schedule and completed ahead of schedule. The basement looks fantastic.
