Introduction: If you're interested in an instructor who provides a safe and positive atmosphere while getting you a little out of your comfort zone, we'll be a perfect match! My purpose as a music instructor has always been to encourage, motivate and inspire students to reach their goal, no matter how big or small. I teach students of all ages how to play the music they love while learning formal technique and theory on their instrument of choice (voice, piano and flute), so they can become well-rounded and enthusiastic performers. My clients have ranged from children as young as four, learning basic piano and theory to vocalists who are looking to audition for colleges or competitions and even choral singers in their 60s who want to improve their tone and confidence.

She was the vocal coach for my daughter. My daughter and I both loved Amber! She was upbeat, friendly, and encouraging while still being serious about the music. She has a beautiful voice, is very knowledgeable, and taught theory as well as practice. She allowed my daughter to have input into the lessons, to choose new songs to learn. Amber was 100% reliable as well. I strongly recommend her.

Amber was so amazing to work with. Everytime I worked with her I left feeling like a better and more confident musician. Although she is extremely professional, she also takes time to get to know her clients and students on personal levels to be sure she exceeds their expectations and addresses their needs. She had me singing in genres I never thought I could and taught me techniques that I still use to this day as a college student. I highly recommend her!

Amber is an excellent music teacher. She worked with all 4 of my girls with their different musical interests ranging from voice, piano and flute/piccolo. She was very accommodating with respect to their individual needs. She extremely encouraging and really helped to bring my singers out of their shells. How did you get started doing this type of work?
When I was in elementary school, I participated in a musical put on by the Virginia Opera Company at my school. They taught me in just a couple weeks how to open up, explore the unknown and trust myself. This moment changed my life forever, and I knew I wanted to instill those same feelings into all interested musicians.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I've worked with students of all ages! Since I have a diverse background in music education, I've worked with children as young 3 in both piano and general music settings and have taught piano and voice to adults who are looking for some fun while in retirement!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Since music is can be such a personal venture, at many times you may need feel safe in making mistakes. Be sure that you have a teacher you feel you can trust and bond with, so when it's time to step out of your comfort zone, you won't have to worry about judgment as well.
