- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am constantly staying abreast of changes in my field by reading about latest journals and language learning advances in the scientific and scholastic communities. In additon, I am currently a Virginia State Certitified Spanish teacher. As a former Fairfax County Spanish and French teacher I am very familiar with the curriculum and expectations of the public schools. However, with all my students with their permission I do work closely with their teachers in public or private schools to reach the best outcome for the student.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I work with a lot of students experiencing difficulty learning Spanish in their high school or college classes. When help comes early all students, even those with learning disabilities, have a great possibilities to reach their goals. My lessons are personalized to meet each students needs and learning style. In addition, I offer some weekend sessions to help people step out of their busy routine week and focus on challenging material.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
If you are looking for results then be selective and shop around for the best fit for you. Experience and knowledge of subject counts for a lot but not everyone who knows a subject will be able to teach it.
