I ordered a weeks worth of meals for a friend who was ill. Barbara was fast, extremely responsive, and helpful. She contacted my friend, worked with her to select a menu and delivered the food all ready to be frozen or cooked. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?My five meal package starts at just $250.00 plus tax. Each meal serves 4-6 portions and comes with an appropriate side dish. Some recipes are priced slightly higher depending on the cost of the ingredients. There is a $10.00 fee to split the recipe into two halves, as it requires more and different packaging. This service is offered to smaller families or couples and stretches the meals further.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I ask many questions of a new customer to find out exactly what they are looking for with their meals. I find out what they are currently doing for nightly meals and how I can help in improving that experience. Finding out about a customers food allergies or diet restrictions is also very important. This information is helpful should I need to modify a recipe to work within the customer's diet. Then the customer would receive a full set of menus to review. A sample of them are on my website convenientcuisineva.com. Then we schedule a date and time to deliver the meals and - voila! - dinner is done!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?My self-taught culinary skills span over 30 years. My formal classes include The Culinary Institute of America, L'Academie de Cuisine in Bethesda, MD, The Cordon Bleu and International Kitchen in Paris. I have a degree in Hospitality Management from the Northern Virginia Community College.
