I planned a surprise 50th for a friend and decided to hire Diane for a personal chef experience. It was a fabulous meal that included an amazing sauteed shrimp appetizer, then an incredible pear and goat cheese salad, followed by a scrumptious filet mignon in a French wine sauce with a side of asparagus with garlic and bacon, topped off with a delectable chocolate caramel cake. From the planning to the execution, from working with me on the menu to prepping, cooking, serving and cleaning, the experience was worth every penny. Cannot recommend Diane any more highly. Can't wait to do it again someday!Aug 12, 2016VerifiedRedFox Dinners's reply
You had a veru nice party, Stephanie. It was good meeting your friends and helping to make your evening memorable! I will look forward to serving a party for you again!
This was the first time I've used a service on Thumbtack. Heck, this was the first time I've had a personal chef prepare and cook a meal in my own home. Both were great experiences. Diane contacted me prior to our set date which was Valentines day. Her selection of meats and sides were amazing. I'm glad I took her recommendations. It's kind of like telling a painter how to paint... Some times you have to sit back and enjoy the beauty in what a professional plans for you. Diane, delivered a phenomenal meal and it was hands down the best Valentines day dinner my wife and I have ever had. Thank you so much Diane. I will be in touch next time I need your services.Mar 1, 2016VerifiedRedFox Dinners's reply

Personal Chef (Ongoing)
Where do I even begin? If you have the opportunity to hire Chef Diane, you absolutely should! My husband and I hired her as a personal chef for one week as a special "stay-cation" and she is fabulous! Diane called us the week before she would be coming to plan personalized meals that we would love, she was always punctual, she was so personable and easy to talk to, she was very reasonably priced, and, perhaps most importantly when you are hiring a chef, the food was DELICIOUS! :) We couldn't be happier with our experience and it certainly won't be the last time we hire chef Diane with RedFox Dinners!Mar 29, 2016VerifiedRedFox Dinners's reply
Susan and Michael, I thank you for this wonderful review, but I must also tell you how much I enjoyed serving YOU. It pleases me to know that you appreciated the experience as much as I did. It was FUN! And I look forward to working with you again!

Thank you for taking time for this review during your busy weekend! I appreciate being able to work with clients like you! Thanks, Wes.
We loved our experience. From getting to know Diane a little bit while she was preparing our delicious 3 course meal; to our privately served dinner; to walking into a clean kitchen afterwards. We even have leftovers to enjoy the next day! I would highly recommend Chef Diane.Feb 10, 2018VerifiedRedFox Dinners's reply

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I include the price of groceries in my quote and stay within the customer's budget. Price quoted also includes my time driving, shopping for groceries, prepping, cooking, serving, cleaning up.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Consultation by phone or in person concerning menu; recommendations for types of food to purchase (all organic, for example), including food allergies or sensitivities/dislikes; and preferences on where I should shop for the client's groceries. I then shop and prep, preparing all dishes from scratch, featuring homemade ice creams and cakes/baked goods, breads. Salad dressings and meat sauces (usually wine-based) are also homemade, individually following the course of the dinner, so that flavors trail from beginning to end. I cook proteins at the client's home, usually, serve the dinner, plated, and clean up after.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am newly located in Gainesville, but have cooked for gatherings for many years and started a personal chef business 5 years ago in Philly. I have certificates for culinary classes in France (Lyon and Paris) in 2010 and 2012 which I took for personal inspiration and betterment and I cook a large variety of foods, French sauces being my specialty. I also believe in healthy eating, so I can cut calories in most dishes if asked.
