Introduction: As company owner, I visit with each new client, personally. We pay attention to detail. My sitters and office staff receive glowing recommendations from our clients. Money, is not the first thing on our mind. Safety of the clients pet and providing outstanding service are at the top of our list of priorities. Meeting new pets and oh yeah, their owners too!!

Cannot say enough great things about Joe and his love and commitment to his furry clients. We have 2 dogs and together they are a handful to say the least - LOTS of activity and attention needed. One is also extremely territorial about people entering our home, barks, growls and makes people fearful until she knows them. She has scared off a pet sitter or two. Joe was willing to work with us, had great suggestions for calming her upon his arrival, and took the extra time to visit her each evening before we went away so she could become reacquainted with him. Now, no problem - Zoey loves her "Uncle Joe" and both dogs are excited to see him. Our fierce Zoey wants all of his attention and plants herself in her lap to smother him in kisses when he visits. The detailed notes we receive from Joe of each and every visit confirm that he spent the time and knows them as he describes how they act, interact and behaved perfect. We have used Joe's services for weekends as well as several week long trips. 100% recommended!

When our older dogs passed away we rescued one pug and then got him a companion. Since our schedules left them alone all day and the commutes became unpredicable we signed on for daily mid day service. What a great decision. Every staff member has been exceptionable with the pugs. walks, treats, belly rubs and play time helped with the adjustment of the new arrivals especially one who was not truly housebroken. In no time wilh the mid day break he was out od his "belly band" They always alert us to anything which out of the ordinary and go the extra mile when one is not feeling well. Professional Is the best description but we strongly feel they are the part of the family. Have used other services in the western Loudoun area, this one is a keeper. special thanks to Sarah and Lisa :)

We have used the services of "Your Virginia Pets R My Pets" for years and could not be happier with the caring and outstanding level of service our dogs have received. At the initial meeting with Joe Pillera, we were also introduced to the wonderful lady who was going to be our four dogs' mid-day and evening walker. It became apparent, almost immediately, that our dogs were going to love her and, in fact, she was able to establish a great relationship with all four of them. This company is committed to doing the best job possible for its clients. The dog walkers are on time, responsible, and honestly enjoy being with the dogs in their care. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a pet sitter/dog walker.

I can't say enough good things about Joe and Your Virginia Pets R My pets! Leaving our dog Ellie home is always stressful for us, but knowing she gets to spend time with Joe puts our mind at ease. Joe became familiar with Ellies routine so she would have consistency, writes us details about his visit so we know how things went, and has been flexible with our very inconsistent schedule. Joe is a natural with animals and I would recommend him to anyone who needs a pet sitter for their beloved pet.

Your Virginia Pets is the best sitting/walking service ever. They responsibly walk and play with our dogs. They even made emergency vet visits for us when we were out of town and one of our dogs developed pancreatitis (and cleaned her and her crate up with no complaints). Every person sitting and walking for Joe is a dog lover and we trust each of them to take care of our dogs. Can't recommend highly enough.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing system is very simple. We put ourselves in the place of our customers, as we are consumers too. We don't bother to charge for snow days, late calls, last minute changes, etc. Simple is better.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always had a knack for dealing with animals since a little kid. My adult job was to work as an administrator for the government, which has provided me with a good business sense on how to run a business, responsibly. When retirement loomed, I already have 10 years of experience in volunteering at a Homeless Dog and Cat shelter, and doing pet sitting for another company for 4 years. Starting my own pet sitting business was a no brainer, as a second career. I have not regretted it and haven't looked back!
