Introduction: My work stands out, because I am very patient,I never cut corners to get through a job quickly. I always keep the customer as involved in the process as they want to be. It does not bother me to have the customer, looking over my shoulder, asking questions, because I love what I do and love sharing knowledge with my customers. I love playing the pianos after Ive tuned them and hearing the customer say," I didn't know that old piano could sound like that!"

Piano sounds great. Excellent tuning on a 1911 Chickering Baby Grand, and Pat made sure everything was working the way it should.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Basic charge for a single tuning $100. Repairs and regulation to piano action are billed at $50.00 per hour Teachers receive a 10% discount Schools and Churches receive a 20% discount (if paid within 30 days of invoice)

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Yes, I am reading constantly in technical journals and blogs, always on the lookout for new knowledge about piano tuning and regulation techniques.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

As with any trade, always look for someone who is not in a big hurry, just to get your money and get out the door as quickly as possible. I generally spend 2 hours tuning a piano, much more if a pitch-raising is required, or if there are significant mechanical problems.
