What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I continue to go to conferences and workshops. I am part of WEVA Wedding Event Videographer's Association, and IN FOCUS. Also, Wedding MBA and have been a publisher of a wedding magazine.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Actually I was filming sports before wedding video. You also have to be ready and in the moment for fast paced sports like you are in a wedding. A friend of mine moved to California and asked me to film a couple weddings that she had booked. It took off from there and I have been in the wedding industry ever since.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Basically filming weddings but we do other things also like commercials and corporate shoots. We have gotten into the aerial flying also which has been a lot of fun.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I love the recent weddings where I have incorporated the aerial shots in there. They are great for establishing shots, where it is all taking place.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
You want a videographer who can capture your event with a style and personality that complements yours own. Stephanie Day Films works closely with couples in order to achieve a final product that is as beautiful and unique as your wedding day.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Once again, that once the wedding is over, there are no ways to get back those special moments unless you have video.
