Steven was the DJ at our daughter's wedding reception last weekend. He was pleasant and responsive during the planning stage, VERY reasonably priced, and he did a great job at the reception! There were people out on the dance floor who hardly ever dance at weddings! We received a lot of compliments about Steven during and after the event. Even my sister who plans a lot of special events in NY (and, has very high standards for all event vendors) wanted his contact information. Steven was wonderful and I honestly can't imagine hiring anyone else when our younger daughter gets married in the future!

Steven is an absolute professional who knows his craft and knows it well. He had every guest at our wedding (all ages) energized and on the dance floor. He worked with my wife and I extensively prior to the wedding to get a feel for us as people and really tailor our experience accordingly. He was super flexible to our needs. The coolest part about our experience was Steven's live music at our cocktail hour. He went above and beyond to provide us a phenomenal DJ experience. 10/10, will recommend to all.

Hiring Steven at Capital DeeJays was one of the best (& easiest) decisions we made during our whole wedding planning process! I originally had another DJ, who happened to be a friend, in mind, however, wanted to explore other options and I'm glad I did! Not only did he provide music during the ceremony and reception, but he also provided my guests with live acoustic entertainment at my request. My guests loved that and we got so many compliments! From start to finish, Steven was very quick to respond, attentive to my needs, preferred phone calls to texts or email to get a better idea of who we were as a couple and was overall, very great to work with! Our DJ, Steve, could not have been better. He worked closely with the bride and groom to put together a song list before the wedding including the songs for all the important moments during the ceremony and reception. On the day of the wedding he was patient and flexible with changes and delays caused by the weather. Steve's acoustic set during cocktail hour was one of the highlights of the evening and our dance floor was full the entire night! I would highly recommend this professional for your next event.

We try to be as flexible as possible with our pricing, and we do whatever we can to come in within our client's budgets.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We work closely with our clients to come up with the perfect playlist for their event. We review all the details in advance, including setup time and location, specific parts of the event, requested songs for each part, etc. We confirm everything 48 hours before the event. We arrive early to set up and we leave no trace after the event.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Started DJing 30 years ago. Work with kids for the past 25 years. Performed for weddings and dozens of private events throughout the DC area.
