I cannot say enough nice things about Laurabella's piano lessons. For me, as an adult beginner, finding the right teacher was critical. Laura worked with me, found "real" music that I could relate to but was easy enough to play, discovered early my love of duets and found extra music to play. She keeps the lessons interesting and challenging but also works on the fundamentals of music theory. There is never a dull moment in the lessons and the time flies by. I discovered a real love for the piano in my 60's thanks to Laura's encouragement and patience. Laura's own considerable music skill and repertoire help her individualize the lessons. She understands the process of learning to read and play music still even though she is a master musician. I feel fortunate to have such a talented teacher. Regina

I thoroughly look forward to my weekly piano lessons! Laura is a fantastic teacher who explains the material quite clearly. As an adult beginner, I appreciate the material which is easy, but geared towards an older learner. Laura was very receptive to hearing my goals as a student, and plans the lessons accordingly. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for music lessons for their child or even for themselves!

Laura is a wonderful teacher. She helped my 6 year old move along quickly as she taught her the violin! My daughter felt very rewarded working with Laura and had a lot of fun as she learned.

My daughters have taken piano and guitar lessons from Laura at Bella River Music, and we were very pleased with the progress they made. Laura's love of music is infectious, and it is evident in the way she instructs her students. Laura gave the girls both challenging and fun pieces to learn, and often sang along with them as they played. She is reliable, knowledgeable, and generous--a delightful combination!

BA and MA in Music (composition), Post-graduate Professional Teaching License (Commonwealth of VA), over 50 years as pianist, second violinist with the Lynchburg Symphony Orchestra, 13 years teaching elementary violin, 20 years teaching in public schools and longer as a private instructor. Performer of several musical styles: Blues, Jazz, Classical, etc.
