Latest Review: Lauren has been my massage therapist for a couple months now and she has really helped me reduce my pain, from someone who has scoliosis, planter fasciitis, and had work stress like everyone else she has been able to work out my kinks and knots. She does anywhere from a light to deep tissue and I go every couple weeks. I highly recommend Lauren for anyone who is looking for an experienced massage therapist

About: When people think of assisted stretching, they tend to imagine something medieval, some kind of torture rack where the practitioner yanks and twists and the client grits their teeth in pain. Nothing could be further from the truth! In fact, partner-assisted stretching like practiced at Stretch Workz is surprisingly gentle and relaxing. By focusing on breathing and multiple repetitions, we avoid activating the client's stretch reflex, allowing the muscles to lengthen significantly without pain or discomfort.

Latest Review: Great experience! Jules was very thorough and intuitive in her approach. She spent time before my session to learn about me and my problem areas. During my session, she blended multiple techniques including Deep Tissue, Swedish, Aromatherapy, and Hot Stones to resolve knots and muscular tension. When my session ended, I was super relaxed and loose. I will definitely be incorporating regular sessions with Jules as part of my Health and Wellness regime. Thanks again Jules!

Latest Review: The things that impressed me the most about Mr. Nixon were his professional manner and his respect for my privacy. He made sure I was comfortable and covered except for the area he was working on at the time. He worked with me on what I needed and asked for feedback, creating a very custom treatment. I have a back injury, so trust was a big factor. Because of the conversation before hand about what I needed and what to expect, I was relaxed within minutes and could take full benefit of the massage. I look forward to working together on this healing journey. Thank you Reggie.

Latest Review: I have fibromyalgia and lymph circulation issues. Michele's use of Reiki in addition to other care really helps alleviate the pain. Also, she helps my cat Emma who has IBS issues and helps her feel better too. Michele is careful to make sure you are comfortable and at ease during the whole process. She is also really good with animals.

Latest Review: I am a 50 y/o woman who has been very athletic all my life until my health detetiorated the last 10 years during the discovery and eventual diagnosis of RA, Sj, & Fibro. Anne was very impressive with her knowledge and experience in Rolfing, the technique, as well as other bodywork methods. She made me feel very comfortable and safe. She was very thorough in my history and her assessment of my needs and goals. She knows her craft and "understands people." She is extremely perceptive, and caring but also straightforward... I needed that because I tend to "power" through injuries and would treat this condition the same if she had not picked up on my tendencies. Her space is clean, welcoming, and designed for treatment and serious bodywork vs an aesthetic massage experience. She was able to provide immediate relief and a path to sustained improvement of my pain through some "very specific" activities... I was elated, actually shocked that they worked so quickly! It's not a cure but anything that can bring about significant improved quality of life that it realistic over time, it's priceless. As for price points, she is on par with other Rolfing providers, perhaps a little lower than average for DC. I have no concerns or complants to share and hope this is helpful in your search for a serious and effective bodywork practicianer.

Latest Review: I am a very active athlete who was suffering from chronic groin/adductor pain in the middle of the competitive season. As someone who knows already knows a lot about training, self maintenance and mobility, I was looking for any extra help I could get before one of my team’s biggest tournaments of the year. I figured, what the hell - let’s give a deep tissue massage a shot. Enter Shar, an incredibly kind and welcoming person. His personality makes him so great and his home massage room was clean, neat and relaxing. After some talk about my pain and the conditions of my sport, we delved right in. Now, as someone who had never gotten a massage before, I have to say that it is a bit uncomfortable at first (esp. since we were working on a very sensitive and awkward area - the groin). However, Shar did a great job of talking me through things and making me feel comfortable. Not to mention, he did an incredible job on the massage as well! I was feeling much better going into the tournament and was able to compete at the level I wanted to with much less pain than in the past. So did Shar fix my chronic problem with one massage? No, but he did a hell of a job mitigating what I normally deal with. Would I go back for another massage in the future? Absolutely. For the money and care, you really can’t do much better. Shar worked on me for around 1.5 hours and only charged the hour fee. He is in no rush to clock you in and out and it seems like he genuinely doesn’t want you leaving until he thinks you will feel better. From someone who was skeptical at first, I am confident in saying that you will have a 4-5 star experience with Shar.
