Michael was very friendly and gave excellent marital advice to my wife and I. The exercises he had us perform really helped us with our communication barriers and how to resolve conflict before it escalates. I highly recommend Michael to anyone looking for an experienced, Christian counselor who can help build a stronger and lasting marriage.
Over the last 4 years, Marian helped me (and continues to help me) through what has been, hands down, the most difficult time of my life. Perhaps most important for this field, Marian easily combines knowledge, passion, skill, empathy, and sense of humor--as appropriate--to help you process your thoughts and emotions--even in the most intense situations. Marian has a unique ability to connect with people. She is unflappable in the face of dysfunction--and eager to meet clients where they are to work through the individual dynamics they face. I highly recommend Marian's services. I've recommended that more than 10 friends and family members reach out to Marian--and some are now regular clients of hers as well. If you still aren't sold on contacting Marian, let me give you a sense of the quality of my experience. I moved almost 2 years ago. Since then, I travel more than 60 miles round trip to continue using Marian's services. Marian is that good. Call her.
Last year my niece was struggling with some self esteem issues. This made her transition into High School even tougher along with making new friends among other issues kids face started High School (a new High School at that). After talking to a friend of mine they recommended Omega to us after she counseled their family in multiple ares of their life. After just a few sessions with Omega we noticed a positive change in my nieces demeanor and she was even beginning to make a few friends and her grades began to improve now that she was getting comfortable with her self and opening up more. Thanks again Omega!!
I have worked with Mommy A La Carte for 4 years; the services provided are invaluable. The planning and coaching services are exceptional; which have allowed me to focus on my family while Mommy A La Carte has taken care of the details. Mommy A La Carte catered to all my needs in a very positive, creative, and innovative manner.
My family has only met with Dr. Stephanie a few times so far; but, she is the only therapist that has focused on the underlying issues vs the symptoms in such a short timeframe. Moreover, Dr. Stephanie is specific in the goals for each session - there is a plan, not just addressing the issue of the day. She also has fabulous active listening skills. Best of all, Dr. Stephanie is so very friendly and personable, understanding, and welcoming(even my husband was impressed by the atmosphere of her office). Every member of my family likes Dr. Stephanie! She has given us a glimmer of hope.
Connie is one of the best therapists in Maryland. She is compassionate, intelligent, well-practiced, and caring. I would not hesitate to recommend her for individuals or couples. I consider myself very lucky to have crossed paths with her.
I've been speaking with Jessica for about three months, and I can't say enough good things about how much she's helped me change my life (and that's an understatement). She's easy to talk to, empathetic and I never feel judged, rushed. She has also given me a lot of practical tools to manage my stress, anxiety, and depression. It feels as if we are family. I am so grateful to have her!
The Pastors were amazing, treated us like family! They are very professional and experienced at what they do!
I went out seeking a marriage counselor to help repair my marriage and found Dorina. It was important to me to find someone who could empathize with my situation as well as coach me through some of the more challenging aspects. Dorina offered the first appointment free so I could get a feel for her coaching style which was very helpful in making my decision. We hit it off right away and she has been very helpful in my progress. She offers reasonable rates, packages and payment plans. She's awesome, would recommend her to anyone who is seeking help for one on one or for couples.

I'm a clergy, a motivational speaker, a life coach, a professional Christian wedding officiant, and a family and marriage counselor serving the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area.
I work with individuals, couples, families, and children. I specialize in relationship issues, depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, trauma, family conflicts, and grief. My greatest intention is to help clients understand themselves better and improve their quality of life and relationships. I cater my approach to each client, responding to your unique problems and personality style. This is not a "one-size-fits-all" practice. People are not always aware of why they are feeling distressed, behaving in certain ways or repeating patterns. By providing a safe and thoughtful environment, clients and I collaborate to develop a deeper understanding of their thoughts, feelings and behaviors and to identify underlying issues that may be interfering with their quality of life. We all live together in the same society, but the complex factors that affect each of us create challenges that make it hard to lead happy, satisfying lives. Learning how to access our inner strength is something each of us is capable of, and this empowerment is the key to resolving confusion, pain and suffering.
Greetings! My name is Kate, and I am a counseling professional in the Washington D.C. area. I have been working in the field of psychology since 2006, and I have been practicing as a family therapist since 2012. I am trained in the Functional Family Therapy model, an evidence-based, short-term model of therapy. Other areas of practice include marriage counseling as well as individual counseling. I am offering professional counseling services to clients in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area. As a professional in the field, I have come to appreciate the importance of engaging the individuals, couples and families with whom I work in a setting that is most comfortable and convenient, for them. I travel to my clients at times and locations they specify. From the busy mom who has a few hours free while her kids practice after school sports to the business professional who'd like to utilize the office's empty conference room during their lunch hour, I make my services available at times and locations most comfortable for my clients. I also offer virtual therapy sessions at a reduced rate. Please check out specifics in the questions and answer section on my page. Please note I do not accept insurance; however, I believe you will find my prices to be reasonable. Because I am still in the process of fulfilling licensing requirements, I accept a reduced hourly rate for my service. Specific pricing information is located in the questions and answer section as well. Please note I do not complete formal assessments or diagnostics for severe psychological conditions. I am also unable to prescribe medication, as I am not a medical doctor.
