Introduction: My philosophy regarding health and fitness is that the reward in reaching any goal is most appreciated and celebrated after the obstacles of discouragement, denial, and self doubt are broken down by the relentless determination to travel toward the journey of success. From the heart, this is my philosophy in my own words inspired by my clients.. What I do... I specialize in nutritional consultation and tailored diet plans designed by the anaylsis of a client's basal metabolic rate breakdown. I design and implement a program inclusive of endurance, strength training, plyometric conditioning, enhanced mobilization and flexibility based on the individual goal of each client I am knowledgeable with training client's with physical limitations that effect mobility and flexibility. For such clients, I have acquired a skillset for ballistic, dynamic, static, and PNF (propriceptive neuromuscular facilitation) stretching.

Anita is awesome!! I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a personal trainer that is going to really work to help you achieve your goals. She really takes her work seriously and makes me feel like my goals are her personal goals as well. I'm so happy I chose to work with her because she has the best attitude/personality for a personal trainer. She is knowledgeable about what she is talking about and very motivating. One thing I love about her is that she is always coming up with new creative workouts to make sure they are challenging for me. She creates a fun environment, I look forward to our workouts instead of dreading them. I'm so excited to keep working with her because I know she will help me achieve my dream body.

I have had 2 workout sessions so far with Anita and they have both been GR8. Anita is very focused, encouraging and provides excellent instruction on how to do each exercise clearly and concisely. Anita is also great at explaining what we are doing and why. Anita did a great job in understanding my goals and tailoring a program to meet and hopefully, if I do enough work :), exceed those goals. Anita has also been very flexible in being able to work with my schedule. I would highly recommend Anita to anyone looking for a GR8 one on one training experience

Anita does a great job of assessing your fitness level, and finding a way to challenge you without making you dread your next session :) She's great at motivating while not being condescending, and her rates are great!

Anita is outstanding! She takes as long as she needs to complete the goal for your session, no rushing or watching the clock. She is very invested in her clients success and you can tell she is extremely passionate (and maybe a little crazy, but I love her for it!) I always enjoy my sessions with her and am inspired by her energy and motivation. If you're looking into personal training, don't waste your money at big name gyms! You'd be better off getting personalized attention, more sessions for your money and better service from Poised Fitness.

I was looking for a nutritionist - someone who would provide a meal plan that would support me during my workouts but also help me to lose weight. Anita worked up a 4-week meal plan. I've been using it on and off (vacations and other things have gotten in the way). I've lost weight and look forward to continue losing weight. I've enjoyed working with Anita.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    Meal Planning /Nutrition Please feel free to visit my website poisedfitness.com. I implement a unique technique regarding meal planning for clients. Rather than giving a random generic plan, I utilize information the client provides via a 3 day food log so that I can adjust the food they are currently eating. The process is called comprehensive basal metabolic breakdown. Whew, a lot of huge words that simply means that I adjust my client's macronutrients to align with their goals. I analyze calories consumed in carbs, proteins, and fats, and I make the necessary adjustments. The adjustments made are determined by age, current weight, current caloric intake, activity level, gender, and the thermal effect of food. So in a round about way, I apply whatever adjustments needed to assist with whatever goals desired. Be it weight lost, or weight gain, this is the strategy I use to ensure it is tailored to each client. The cost is $150.00. This amount covers a 4week plan
