Introduction: I create 'your' vision with original custom designs from unexpected and unique flower combinations. Floral design that "Paints your vision in flowers..." Each one of my clients are so special, especially my brides. Flowers create so much emotion, visual impact and sentiment. It is always such an honor to create floral artwork for my brides on their most important day...when I see her face light up or tears of joy roll down her cheeks as I present her bridal bouquet...THAT is what I enjoy about the work I do...THAT's what it's all about!

If we had to do it all over again (which we are so glad that we don't!), we still would have gone with Vintage Floral Design for our flowers--without any hesitation. We were blown away by how beautiful ALL of our flower arrangements turned out. Every bride has some sort of vision of how all of the decorations and flowers will look, especially when all pulled together, no matter how simple or complex of a wedding. I (the bride) had an image in mind of what the church auditorium would look like on our wedding day, but reality far exceeded my dreams, which is rare. I saw the auditorium set up the night before the wedding; all that was left to add was the flowers. When I walked into the auditorium the next day (the BIG day), I was stunned by the transformation, which was all due to the addition of Vintage Floral Design's flower arrangements. It was obvious that the owner (Ella O'Donnell) really cared about making the arrangements fit the theme that we chose. Ella listened attententively throughout our discussions and ordering of the flowers. She understood what we wanted and then added her own touch of creativity, which we loved! We received several compliments about the flower arrangements throughout the church and the flowers on our wedding cake, which Vintage Floral Design also decorated with flowers for us. Our simple cake was turned into a beautiful work of art. We couldn't have been more pleased with the service, professionalism, thoughtfulness, and value of Vintage Floral Design.

Vintage Floral Design made our wedding shower memorable. Since we had a shower in two different states, we opted for a "Jack and Jill" shower, with more of an emphasis on gifts for the guy. Ella worked with us and designed an arrangement of green and blue flowers (our favorite colors), and found really clever ways to incorporate them into the setting. I particularly enjoyed the variations in the table arrangements. Each table had its own personal centerpiece, which were so popular, the guests asked if they could take them home. If you want a florist who will envision your design and work hard to make it happen, then I highly recommend Vintage Floral Design.

VFD offers custom floral artistry. The floral investment for a standard size wedding starts at approximately $1800-2000+. Corporate events, parties, galas and showers can range in price.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
MEET: Let's get together to discuss your story, vision, style or theme, colors and desired floral investment. PROPOSAL: Within 72 hours you will receive a floral summary and all necessary information to secure your event/wedding date. SIGN: Love your design? Just sign on the dotted line and make it official and receive your detailed custom proposal. We accept the retainer through PayPal, cash or check. FINALIZE: It's getting close... four weeks prior to your event is the perfect time to complete the payment and iron out the details. TA--DA! Now it's time to relax... Vintage Floral Design will take it from here as we exceed your expectations by creating the floral vision of your dreams!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My education in horticulture began as a child, working alongside my grandmother and uncle on our farm and nursery in SC. I furthered my knowledge and experience through the local garden club as an active member and chapter Vice President. I have worked in commercial floral design in the Northern Virginia area as the primary bridal consultant and designer with one of the premiere florists in Fairfax County. I have been trained by the best!
