We were upgrading (but not renovating) our kitchen, with used wooden cabinets. The cabinet sizes were uneven and our house's walls are tricky, being plaster and 100 years old. Nas Construction did an excellent, detail-oriented job of removing existing laminate cabinets and installing the new/used cabinets. The installation is very solid. They were easy to work with and I'd hire them again.
I hired Antonio, of Renaissance Restoration, to do several projects. They included: 1) rebuilding the curb in my shower that was installed improperly by a different contractor; 2) Finishing a half-bath remodel that included refinishing and painting the drywall after they had be damaged from wallpaper removal, installing a vanity including plumbing and trim; 3) Repairing water-damaged hardwood floors and refinishing hardwood floors in the kitchen, dining room, bathroom, hall and stairway; 4) Expanding the kitchen entrance by 2 inches, repairing and refinishing the drywall and wood floor. I was at first skeptical to hire one person to complete all these tasks due to the variety of skills required. Fortunately, Antonio had all the skills necessary to complete the job expertly and timely. His attention to detail and vast experience with carpentry and contracting work in general proved to be invaluable. The end result of each project was even better than I had expected. Needless to say I would hire Antonio again for my next project.
I worked with Mark from Ideal Stone LLC to replace my original laminate kitchen counter top with something more durable, aesthetically pleasing, and a material that would add value to my home. Mark was tremendously helpful in helping me narrow down my choice to Quartz and extremely accommodating with regards to getting samples as well as my tight budget. In the end his installers came out and completed the job in just a couple of hours. They were professional, courteous and very efficient. Mark even gave me a reference for a surprisingly reasonable plumber to redo my kitchen sink piping after the counter install. Overall my experience could not have gone better!
We used Jeff Colwill for several projects: the largest of which were bathroom redo and landscaping. Bathroom redo: He completely redid a full bathroom--taking down old walls, removing mold, replacing new drywall, tiling, and painting. It was like a new bathroom. He went above and beyond--there were details that he could have skipped but he did not. Landscaping: Jeff assisted with landscaping, including installing sod throughout a complete backyard. Again, he went above and beyond, ensuring that the ground was graded evenly, the foundation was there to guarantee grass growth, etc. Much more than just laying down sod. All in all, Jeff did a great job. He pays attention to detail and won't skimp until the job is completel
Jaime was on time, communicative, and flexible with scheduling. He executed a variety of jobs- electrical, painting, door repair- all done satisfactorily. Will definitely contact him again with future needs.
Luis Valle is an excellent interior painter! He did such an amazing job painting my rooms that I also hired him to lay floor tile in my bathroom. He went above and beyond both times! Will hire him again for any handyman job needed. A+
Eric was very professional over the phone and to my conviniese accommodated a Sunday repair appointment. Looking forward to see this craftsman at work.
Came out and did a great job clearing the area. Communication was good and job was done to satisfaction.
Great Job. I'm very pleased. I hand a new deck put in, the whole house painted, new laminate flooring, new carpets, and some other minor things. Andre always gave me a good price. He's very honest, and that's the best thing out of my experience. It was a breath of fresh air. I would definitely use him again. Thanks again Andre !!!
Carlos is thoroughly professional and sincere. He's got the heart of a teacher which means a lot to me as I like to do what I can for myself and save money where possible. He showed up on time (which is great considering my appointment was VERY early), worked very efficiently and explained things in a way that made it easy for me to retain the information. I will absolutely work with him again!!
I had Unique Homes (Simeon) complete 4 different projects for me, each progressively bigger. All of them were successful -- although not without little issues that came up now and then, but that were always taken care of. The prices were very good and the jobs were done well. Job #1 - I had a front porch that needed concrete work. This was a relatively small job, but it was done well. Job #2 - This was a remodel of small bathroom. Again, the job was done well and was a good price. And Simeon indulged us owners half-way through the project when we did not like something about the floor tiles we had chosen. Totally our issue, we did not really like how it looked when it started getting installed. But he undid some of his work and we were able to fix it. Job #3 - This was a full bathroom remodel, so a more significant job. Again, this project was done well, but the costs savings really started to come through on this project. We were very happy with the final look of the bathroom. Job #4 - This was by far the biggest job. It was a complete remodel of our master bathroom. I had received various quotes from other contractors in the $30-40K range for the project (including materials). Simeon's prices were less than a third of that, however that did not include any of the materials. In the end, I think the materials is the source of a lot of the savings since I think the others hide mark-ups (or store kick-backs) in the materials. For this project we went to some high end stores and looked at their display designs and chose/copied what we liked. We chosen something that was based on a white marble tile as a base ...and Lowes/HD carried it at a fraction of the cost of Tile City. I think we saved $5k on the marble along. We bought some of the more unique accent stuff in Tile City at full price, but for everything else we were able to replicate the Tile City look with HD or Lowe's materials of equal quality. We bought a high end shower panel, but bought it through Costco. The same fixture at a high-end bathroom store was thousands more than what we paid. At some higher end stores Simeon would give us the Unique Homes discount that he had negotiated. Some places (like the glass doors for the shower) were still expensive...but I ended up with the same bathroom that would have been $40k for about $20K. So yes, I recommend Unique Homes.
Like it Grew There Property Maintenance worked within our budget and painted our great room and kitchen. Matt and his crew was on time each of the three days and I would use them again. Dave R. Madison, VA
Over the course of 2 days, Ted and one assistant helped us with lots of projects around our house, including re-attachment of a tile in our bathroom, installation of a new bathroom fan, re-caulking/grouting in our shower, re-attachment of a mantle to the wall, insertion of foam insulation/caulking to repair our chimney, re-attachment of tiles on our front walkway, dishwasher repair, and more. Ted was very punctual, professional, and easy to talk to and work with. He seems to be very knowledgeable about home repairs and it was really helpful to have him around right when we moved into our new home. We asked for a lot of help and Ted delivered - he got everything done (between him and one other person). Overall, we're glad we hired Ted and plan to use him again in the future!
I had a very positive experience over the last few weeks with Valle Remodeling. They helped me remodel my mom's kitchen in North Potomac, MD. They did remodeling of the cabinets, countertops and built and amazing bar. My mom and I are very pleased with the results of their work. We feel we got an excellent value for outstanding high and results. I would highly recommend them to anyone!
We had AMC, Jess Goodman, undertake two seperate projects for us. We had a solar shade that was replaced and the second project was removing old decking and installing replacement decking. Both projects were done on time, with excellent results. His team was very professional and we certainly would recommend AMC.
We hired Emington in 2011 to do several cabinets in our new remodel. He did cabinets in our bathroom, our dining room, our bedroom, our living room, our kitchen and our laundry. We loved all of the cabinets, so we called him back in 2012 to do our walking closet and now we called him back again to redo our pantry and install a few floating book shelves. We were always happy with his work. He is fast, responsive and gets the job done. We would recommend him and hire him again.
Tulga was an amazing individual to deal with from day one - I had 4 other quotes for this quartz kitchen island countertop and kitchen sink replacement. His prices were great and very fair. He and his assistant took great care in demo and installation and cleaned as they went. Workmanship was top notch - and you couldn't ask for nicer service. They were done with the entire job (plumbing hookup) in under 2 1/2 hours. I highly recommend his work.
Steve did a great job renovating my house. My house was a disaster when I bought it, but now it's beautiful! He replaced my carpet, flooring, deck, and siding. He installed new windows, a kitchen countertop, 3 sinks, & a toilet. I can't wait for him to start on my new bathroom tub & tile! Next year he will be replacing my kitchen cabinets. Impressive work!
We had our kitchen remodeled from the ground up. I took about 4 weeks to complete including the added a powder room vanity install and paint after the job had started. Other than a tropical rainstorm and an earthquake interrupting the schedule a little everything was great. They installed wood floors, a tile backsplash and cabinets covering 3 walls and granite countertops and large island. Four years later it all looks great. Dave even returned a year after the job was completed to repair a casement opening where the lumber had split for no apparent reason. I have used Dave on other jobs as well and highly recommend the Home Doctor.
The best ever. They resurfaced and polished my countertops after Charles Hamm of C&L Painting and Repair cut tile on my countertop as well as multiple scratches and dried grout. Wish everyone was as honest as this company.
