One of the few contractors who does excellent work, has humility, does not leave a mess, is friendly and reaches out to you when he is delayed but also shows up then.
Randy was great with communication and turned my plumbing job in ~24 hours, since I had Airbnb guests coming. The plumbing and drywall crews were friendly and professional. Highly recommend!
Erick and his guys did a great job fixing water damage we had on old plaster walls and repainting the rooms. Erick is thorough and meticulous. They took care of our space and cleaned up well after the project was finished. Am already planning another project with him.
Stewart was wonderful to work with. He was here on time for both the initial proposal meeting as well as on the day he did our paint work and always immediately answered all of my calls and text messages throughout the process. He had said he would paint our baby's nursery in one day, and exceeded our expectations by completing it within 5.5 hours. Most importantly, he and the other gentleman that worked with him did a quality job. The paint coats were evenly applied, no drip marks, and crisp straight lines around the ceiling/base/trim. They properly protected our floors, and did a great job cleaning up before they left. I should also mention that out of 4 bids, Custom Wallcoverings was the 2nd to lowest price, so Stewart's pricing is very competitive and fair. I highly recommend Stewart to anyone who needs paint or wallpaper work. He's one of the few contractors around here that can be counted on to show up when promised and will get your job done right.
Renaissance did an amazing job on my den. I originally hired them to mount a tv and ended up having him paint 2 rooms as well. They were on time, very responsive and knowledgeable. I had another contractor install a cable outlet and electrical outlet above my fireplace to make the mounting of my tv easy. However that contractor didn't do an efficient job and when Antonio mounted the tv both outlets were showing. It is very important to me that only the tv be visible after mounting. Antonio assured me that he would not only hide the cable box and cords but would fix the other contractors work as well. I was able to relax and everything was taken care of to my specifications. They went above and beyond to ensure that my needs were met and I was satisfied with the job. I would recommend them as well as use them again for other home improvement projects.
Kitchen cabinets and drywall repair. Dave was prompt in responding to the request for quote, on time and dependable. Prepped and placed the products as requested, met for final review, anchored and finished project in a neat and orderly fashion.
After meeting with four different general contractors, Mr. Marvin Guzman with Baiza Construction, Inc showed his best attitude to take part on a serious complete home improvement we had for our 1956 home. He didn't only provided a quick estimate, But time frame to complete and over all his price. My project was based on a full 2 bathrooms remodeling, plaster walls removal/replacement, insulation, plumbing, electrical, kitchen remodeling and about 2500 square foot of hardwood floor installation. My best recommendation to future hires and families of his great quality work. My contract worth 86k were put on the best hands.
To quote George Steinbrenner about George on Seinfeld, "Hire This Man". Matt is the best contractor we have worked with. We had a very ugly white tile kitchen floor and Matt came in to provide an estimate. We bought the supplies, which he picked up for us, and he quoted us the labor cost, which was extremely reasonable for 6 days of work. Matt showed up on time each day, even coming over on a Sunday for a few hours. He was very transparent in what he was going to be completing each day and met the objective each time. He is very friendly (even stopping to pet our dogs who bothered him a few times) and personable. He even told us that we still had a few extra items left over and returned them to the store for to get us a refund. I feel like most contractors wouldn't tell you if you have left over supplies, but not him! When he was done with the project, he cleaned up everything, wiping down anything that may have gotten dirty as a result. He is very careful, laying out plastic protectors so dust didn't settle on our counter tops. I normally don't shell out 5 star reviews, but Matt is very deserving. He will be our go to when we get the bathroom floors redone in the near future!
Installation of new drywall in three rooms, scraping of plaster/drywall in hallways and three rooms. Turcios and his crew did a great job with a difficult project. The ceilings and walls had a mix of materials that needed blending and taping. The project took longer than expected, but the end result was on budget and looked great.
I needed someone to de-personalize the dining room of our former home, which we are trying to sell from 500 miles away. The bottom half of the walls were painted dark green, and the top half (above the chair rail) was wallpaper; I needed the wallpaper removed and all the walls primed and painted in a neutral color (off-white). Carlos was the only one who got back to me with a quote (which I found reasonable), and at least as importantly (because time is of the essence with home sales), he was able to start right away. I have not met or even spoken with Carlos, only communicated online through Thumbtack messages, and it is obvious that English is not his first language, but he always responded quite promptly, and was able to communicate clearly enough with me. He completed the job even sooner than I expected; I had been told initially it would be a two-day job, but he did part of it the end of one day, and completed it the morning of the next day. Of course not being at the home to inspect it in person, I wondered just what kind of a job he would have done that quickly. Fortunately, my grown daughter, who lives just a few miles from our former home, was available to inspect the job. It is important that I state here that she has managed rental communities (apartments and townhomes) for 17 years, so she has had a LOT of experience dealing with maintenance men and contractors and their work in “turning” rental units. Much to my delight, she was quite pleased with Carlos’ work on her childhood home, and the condition in which he left the place. Coming from someone with her experience, what she had to say about the job he did was high praise indeed. She believes he’s a keeper - someone I should call on again if I need similar work done (which I might). I was very appreciative for the fine job he did, and the timely manner in which he did it, so I highly recommend.
My wife purchased a used outdoor wooden play set for our son which needed to be taken apart and hauled to our house and reassembled. We asked our contractor who was building our garage if he could do it. He answered that it was "beyond my league". My wife insisted we could do it ourselves, but I insisted we hire someone. I'm happy to say that Anthony and his coworkers succeeded in the endeavour professionally and within a day at a fair price. Who knows how many broken backs and weekends it would have taken us. I will definitely hire him again on my wife's next crazy do-it-yourself idea. Thanks again.
Mr. Litman and his staff at Unlimited not only fulfilled my expectations, they surpassed them. I would DEFINITELY recommend them as contractors on my future contracting needs. Glad that I experienced them as a company.
Luis is very responsive, prompt, and reasonably priced. I contacted him and he came the next day to repair and paint the trim on my home. My house looks 100% better thanks to Luis and his team. I definitely recommend his services and will be hiring him again for future projects.
Mike was fantastic. I'd recommend him to anyone who needs drywall work done.
If you’re in need of a reliable, honest and get-it-done general contractor for your home remodeling needs, Al and his crew are the GO TO GUYS! We recently had a rather large basement remodel project where we took an unfinished space (approx.. 900 sq. feet) to a home office/ dental laboratory finish. There were a lot of moving parts involved – all new electrical/ mechanical/ plumbing; installation of egress & small sliding window(s), walk-out door w/ retaining walls and pavement; added bathroom & work/equipment room. Al took the design plans from a paper to presence, and really worked with us to stay on time and on budget. From the initial consultation, he took his time to go over details of the project and provide us with a written proposal on the spot. What was also appreciated was that he used upgraded materials rather than standard builder supplies, which really makes a huge difference in appearance! Al and his guys are meticulous, detailed & very clean – at the end of each work day, the floors were always swept & materials put away. Another consideration for us was trust since my husband & I weren’t home during the day. I can say with complete confidence that you can trust Premier Home Services to do their job, in your home without supervision. We will definitely use them again for our next home project. Thanks Al!
Marcos and his crew were a pleasure to work with! I hired Marcos to paint all three levels of our new home before moving in. The walls were in rough shape, holes, cracks, outlets to be moved/patched, some deep colors to cover. Marcos and his team transformed them. He also gladly helped with several side projects while he was here, and brought in a great electrician to help with some lighting and electrical projects. The quality of work, attention to detail, professionalism and work ethic of Marcos and his crew is second to none. One of the best contractors of any kind we have worked with. I would highly recommend him, in fact we have already hired him again for a project at our previous home.
Norlan did an awesome job repairing, sanding and painting my fence. As well as repairing my outside water faucet. I'd recommend him to anyone!
Interior: Wonderful wood working, plastering ,caulking and painting throughout our home. Re-plumbing of basement fixtures. Exterior: Wonderful reconstruction repair and painting of wood porches (front and back) and back stairs. Similarly, strengthening of front metal railing. At all times, respectful, accommodating, capable and resourceful' Works well with other professionals and clients alike .
I had Unique Homes (Simeon) complete 4 different projects for me, each progressively bigger. All of them were successful -- although not without little issues that came up now and then, but that were always taken care of. The prices were very good and the jobs were done well. Job #1 - I had a front porch that needed concrete work. This was a relatively small job, but it was done well. Job #2 - This was a remodel of small bathroom. Again, the job was done well and was a good price. And Simeon indulged us owners half-way through the project when we did not like something about the floor tiles we had chosen. Totally our issue, we did not really like how it looked when it started getting installed. But he undid some of his work and we were able to fix it. Job #3 - This was a full bathroom remodel, so a more significant job. Again, this project was done well, but the costs savings really started to come through on this project. We were very happy with the final look of the bathroom. Job #4 - This was by far the biggest job. It was a complete remodel of our master bathroom. I had received various quotes from other contractors in the $30-40K range for the project (including materials). Simeon's prices were less than a third of that, however that did not include any of the materials. In the end, I think the materials is the source of a lot of the savings since I think the others hide mark-ups (or store kick-backs) in the materials. For this project we went to some high end stores and looked at their display designs and chose/copied what we liked. We chosen something that was based on a white marble tile as a base ...and Lowes/HD carried it at a fraction of the cost of Tile City. I think we saved $5k on the marble along. We bought some of the more unique accent stuff in Tile City at full price, but for everything else we were able to replicate the Tile City look with HD or Lowe's materials of equal quality. We bought a high end shower panel, but bought it through Costco. The same fixture at a high-end bathroom store was thousands more than what we paid. At some higher end stores Simeon would give us the Unique Homes discount that he had negotiated. Some places (like the glass doors for the shower) were still expensive...but I ended up with the same bathroom that would have been $40k for about $20K. So yes, I recommend Unique Homes.
We recently had a mold issue at our residence, and being new home owners with a young child we were very concerned. We found Eugene through thumbtack and explained what our problem was. He was very professional and proposed what he thought would be a solution to the problem, not just a bandaid. On his advice we signed up for an energy audit. We went forward with Eugene from the information received on the energy audit and his initial thoughts. Not only did Eugene fix the problem but he also helped make our home much more energy efficient in the process. A few of the major things he facilitated was to fix insulation issues in our basement / attic, provide solutions and contractors to fix our HVAC system (Which had a 50% loss on the way upstairs), and to install an ERV system to provide fresh oxygen not only at the source, but through the entire house. Our HVAC is now running much better and our indoor air quality is superb. Eugene has helped provide a safe environment for my family to live and grow in. I would definitely recommend his expertise in building science to anyone. Eugene will help find the source of the issue and start there, rather than a quick patch job that will need to be redone in the future.
Luis was a good contractor , we used him for finishing off a job. we would use him again without doubt
