I hired them to manage a house rental while living overseas. They did not charge the high fees charged by realtors but found a renter promptly. They took care of all details in an efficient manner and responded quickly to any questions I had. When the first renter broke the lease, they found a new renter within a week. I researched 3 other companies and the 1 thing that really stood out for me was that Thomas said he always answers his phone even though I will be in Germany and the time difference. Tom impressed me right off with his lightning fast response time to my inquiry and his proactive provision of rental comps and the documentation required for hiring. It took me a few days to make my decision from among the 5 prospects that Thumbtack provided, each of whom I interviewed. I was able to relatively easily narrow my choice down to one of three and ultimately picked Tom after thorough review of Yelp, Facebook, and Google reviews. It was really difficult to choose from the three really strong candidates and after making my choice I was a little disappointed with the next step in the hiring process but I'll assume it is probably just poor understanding and poor expectation management on my part. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Not complicated at all! 1 Month rent to, vet, and place a new tenant. Once the tenant is in place, it is 8% of the collected rent. $150 per lease renewal. NO HIDDEN FEES.....check the contracts you opt for.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Typically, I ask the owner to email me to avoid our email going to spam. That helps to make a solid communication point. I ask for the address and provide them with a market analysis, and a set of forms for their review in advance of signing on as it helps to fill in some answers to questions. I want to know up front what their concerns are and there should be an immediate answer to any question they have.
