Introduction: Patriot Productions is a Richmond-based, owned and operated audio and video production company, offering high-quality services at affordable rates. I have over 20 years of experience taping, editing and producing videos. After video taping sports in high school for four years, followed by another two years in the athletic department at the University of Richmond, I decided to take my passion to work more full time. That's when I decided to brand my acquired audio and video editing skills into "Patriot Productions." Where does the name come from? Since my high school mascot at Patrick Henry in Ashland was the Patriots, it only made sense to go with where it all got started back in 1996. Since Patriot Productions was formed in 2003, I've been called on to do work for well-respected businesses such as sweetFrog, Farm Bureau Insurance, Special Olympics Virginia, The Touchdown Club of Richmond, VCU Athletics and many more. I can do simple photo montage videos, on-site videography, weddings, memorial services and sports highlight videos just to name a few of our services. I am located in Mechanicsville, Virginia but proudly serve Ashland, Colonial Heights, Glen Allen, Petersburg, and anywhere in the Central Virginia.

Mitchell has worked for Richmond International Raceway as a videographer during our NASCAR weekends. Shooting exceptional footage from a variety of perspectives, Mitchell proved to be a valuable team member for us on our event weekend. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is pretty simple other than weddings. Wedding videography has so many variables, including the number of videographers needed and the time required, that it makes giving a firm price difficult until I can get specific details on what the bride and groom are looking for. Our prices for weddings are still some of the best in the area!
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Since I was in elementary school, I always wanted to be in the broadcasting business. I've taken the skills I've acquired since the ninth grade and used them to develop a professional video career, providing both videography and editing services. I've always enjoyed the creative aspect of the business, using my ideas to appeal to each of my clients.
What types of customers have you worked with?
On site videography and editing are the most common jobs I handle for my clients. I use a JVC HD camera and editing with Adobe Premiere CC.
