- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Rates are always negotiable! When quoting on work through Thumbtack, especially if the job description is vague or there is no picture of the work area, pricing needs to almost assume a "worst case" scenario. But if cost is a primary concern, we're always open to negotiating and coming up with ways to help reduce cost - whether that is the customer purchasing the materials or having flexibility on start times.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When at all possible, it's always best to meet and look over the work that needs to be done. This helps to reduce and uncertainty about expectations, but it's always best to put a face to the name!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
