It's been a month after my wedding and I still have people telling me stunning my makeup looked! Joanne took the time and the consultation to really understand what I was looking for and that everything looked great. She arrived early on the wedding day and did an amazing job on myself and my bridesmaids! I will be using her for any special occasions going forward!Oct 14, 2015Verified
Joanne did my wedding makeup for me and my bridesmaids. Everyone loved their makeup and we got tons of compliments. My husband especially loved the way my makeup looked. It also lasted through the night. Joanne listened to what we wanted and delivered!Oct 15, 2015Verified
Joanne was absolutely awesome! She was patient, precise and really knew her stuff. Everyone complimented the wedding parties makeup all night long and it looked great in pictures too. She was more than happy to help with touch ups when the time came (from drinking wine or when some girls forgot they had makeup on and accidentally rubbed their eyes. We had 8 girls but she managed to finish right on time. Highly highly highly recommend her! Thank you again Joanne!Aug 20, 2015Verified

- How did you get started doing this type of work?Becoming a makeup artist for me just kind of came natural. From a young age I loved fashion. I competed in pageants, groomed girls for pageants and judged them. I've always been intrigued how makeup can transform someone's look. It became a passion of mine so I pursued working as a freelance makeup artist and learned different techniques from National and Regional artist I worked with. Through my interest in cosmetics that prompted me to pursue studying skin care. I went to Esthetics school in Atlanta, GA and got my license as an Esthetician to help me further my career.
- What types of customers have you worked with?I get request from a lot of brides for their wedding to work with them and their wedding party. Also, to provide makeup for their wedding portrait. I work with a lot of clients that want to learn how to apply makeup. Or teens just starting out that want to know how to take care of their skin and how to apply age appropriate makeup. I work with the television stations to provide makeup for their on air guest.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?Make sure they are a professional, licensed, and have a lot of makeup artistry experience. Ask questions about their experience, ask for referrals, ask if they have a website. There are a lot of people claiming to be Makeup Artist out there that don't have the experience to back that claim up, or they claim to be a Makeup Artist because they sell a home party cosmetic line.
