FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
$40 an hour.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
An initial meeting in person or over the phone is usually conducted to help me get an accurate scope of the project. I have a questionnaire that is helpful for clients to complete, after which I provide an estimate and description of work to be done in a simple contract. Once a deposit of 50% of the estimated total for the project is received work begins. Regardless of the type of work (graphic, logo, or web) I complete several drafts of rough ideas for the customer to provide feedback on. We usually go back and forth a few times to refine the final product. Once complete I will invoice for the remaining balance based on the number of hours required to do the work and then will provide digital files (for graphics). Often times websites require a meeting to go over how the client will access and update their own site.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have recently finished my certificate in advanced web design through Sessions College of Professional Design. I have years of experience in Adobe Photoshop, and now also know the ins and outs of Adobe Dreamweaver, both CS6. I can code HTML5 and CSS3 from scratch, and completed coursework in eCommerce, internet marketing, and logo design. I can build pages that are completely ADA compliant, as well as fully responsive on tablets and mobile phones. I often use JavaScript plug-ins and jQuery to create dynamic and unique sites to catch the attention of viewers.
