CJ was professional and pleasant. I called him with a semi-emergency and he was at our house within 60-75 minutes from hanging up the phone. His rates are beyond reasonable and we have already hired him to do some more work around our house. You won't regret hiring CJ.

We are so glad that we found Thumbtack – and electrician Bill Guinazzo (Bill’s Electrical Solutions) -- while web-searching for information about local electricians. We had recently purchased an old 1953 house that still had two-prong (ungrounded) outlets in most of the rooms. We posted our project on Thumbtack for upgrading to grounded outlets -- and got immediate responses from several local electricians. Bill Guinazzo’s looked the best to us – based on his experience, reasonable hourly rate, and his comments about the scope of our project. He said that we would probably need 3-4 ‘circuits’ installed and wired to the ‘box’ – and that each circuit could serve multiple receptacles (outlets). Based on the info that he provided, we made a rough estimate of the probable cost of the whole project, which turned out to be significantly less than we had anticipated. So we called Bill to make an appointment for him to visit our house and finalize a quote for us. Bill arrived promptly the next morning. He checked all of the old electrical outlets -- and our crawl space and attic space (one-story house). Best of all, his estimate for the cost of the whole project was in line with what we were expecting from his initial comments. So we hired him with ‘great expectations’ – and he did not disappoint. Bill is a very pleasant, calm, and low-key person (which we liked). And, he didn’t mind explaining a lot of stuff (not just electrical) to my brother and me (age 68 and 70), who had never owned a ‘real’ house before. (We had both always lived in apartments while pursuing separate careers in Maryland and New York. Now retired and both ‘single,’ we have returned to the area of Virginia where we were born and raised: Norfolk – and now our new-‘old’ house in Virginia Beach). Bill completed our project in two days (starting the day of his first visit) – buying the materials at Lowe’s and giving us a copy of the receipt. Most of the wiring was done via our crawl space. On the second day, Bill told us that we had a ‘leak’ in the bathroom drainage pipes (where newer pvc pipe had been joined to old galvanized pipe). When he saw the leak in the crawl space, he took some photos to show to us – and he emailed me one of the photos so I can show it to plumbers when we ask for estimates to fix the leak. After completing the project, Bill double-checked all of the outlets to make sure that everything was in order. And before submitting his final invoice, he deducted the cost of some extra materials from the purchase at Lowe’s that had not been needed. All in all, I don’t think we could have had a better experience than hiring Bill Guinazzo for this project. Lucky us – to have found Thumbtack and Bill.

I am so pleased with Daniel, I've already scheduled him for another job. He came on short notice to give me a estimate on a job 2 other electricians had done ... and messed up. He spent almost an hour checking the wiring and then climbing around my attic. When he came to give me the diagnosis, he took pictures, used the internet to show me where he had to order the speciality parts from and gave me a reasonable price for the job. He explained things so a layman would understand without talking down to me. He treated me like an equal. When he came back with the parts and did the repairs, he gave me the box the parts came in along with the bill/shipping label so I would know his prices were not inflated. He took the time to tell me what I would probably need in the future and gave me some great suggestions for maintaining my current setup. His prices were more than reasonable, he was incredibly courteous, and truly wants to get his business going. His skill set was amazing but he was willing to admit when he didn't know something and so needed to do some research. I don't know what more anyone could ask for in an electrician. You won't be disappointed if you hire him, I know I wasn't.

Paul responded promptly on a Saturday evening emergency call regarding a broken pipe under our kitchen sink. He arrived within 30 minutes. Paul was very knowledgable and also provided advice about other plumbing issues in our house. He fixed our broken pipe and was very reasonable in his price; we have already hired him to return for another job. Highly recommend:)

Jonathan contacted me very quickly and came to the house within hours of contacting me via the messaging function in Thumbtack. He was able to find the issue quickly and resolved it at a very reasonable price. We have electricians in our family that are out of state; they estimated the cost to be one price and Jonathan did not to try to overcharge us - it was the exact cost we had anticipated!

Jason came over on time and gave me a honest answer on the work that needed to be done and an accurate estimate. He came back on our next appointment with his electrician and did an outstanding job of mounting 55" TV with sound bar, did an electrical outlet drop, hid 3 HDMIs, and an opical audio and routed the wires to a closet upstairs. Then suggested infra red remote to control devices. Now I have a perfectly mounted TV and Soundbar above a fireplace with Xbox, Blu Ray and cable and internet all working and out of sight (very clean). Jason was courteous, hard working (took 5 hours, a very tricky job), and follows through with all his work. I would recommend him to any of my friends and if I ever need another difficult home audio/visual installation I will not hesitate to call him again.

We had an emergency on a Saturday that required immediate attention. Top Rack responded immediately, provided a firm quote and time commitment, and fulfilled the commitment. I have asked this firm for quotes on additional work and look forward to them returning to complete that work. Excellent service!

He is the best - he has very willingly done everything I have asked him to do. Once more, he went above and beyond the call of duty for a "handyman" when I had a freak accident in my home while he was here. He helped me get up, took me to the emergency room, stayed with me the whole time, after took me to Walgreens to get my prescription, than home. And still, kept going, he would not leave until I was situated in my bedroom, with phones, water, Kleenex, etc., etc. What a gentleman!! He comes every week and tackles my lists with expertise, friendly, smiling courteous service. I told him I plan on keeping him busy for the next few weeks - that's how good he is!!!!

Mr. Riddick was very professional. He completed all work in a timely manner saving us time and money. He took the time to diagnose the problems he saw in my home and explained what I could do versus what was recommended by a licensed electrician. I highly recommend Mr. Riddick and will use him again as my electrician of choice in the future.
