Board and train at a facility
We had the pleasure of meeting and having Gail come to our hoise to train our two dogs. Gail was personable and is a phenomenal trainer. Within seconds of training our dogs we could see a difference. Gail has provided us with the knowledge and tools to gain our dogs respect. We would recommend her to anyone. Thank you for your assistance and we will certainly call in the future with any additional request. DavidApr 5, 2016Verified
Dog Training - Board and Train
Just picked up our dog Rudy after spending 3 weeks with Gail at Lifestyle Obedience. He is a 100 pounds of boundless energy and we weren't sure how this was going to turn out, but Rudy has learned so much my husband asked "Who is this dog?" He has progressed so much and I know with Gail's help as well as our dedication to the training she has done, Rudy will be the well behaved dog we have been wanting. Thank you Gail. Dog Training - Board and Train
My Bella was so out of control, my husband was considering finding her another home We are an "older" couple (70's) and Bella is a 3 yr old Border Collie/Lab mix that we adopted when she was 3 months old. She has always been a high-energy pooch and we have been taking traditional classes since we got her a little less than 3 years ago. She was always great in class, but not so much at home. She barked incessantly and every hair on her back stood up if people, dogs, blowing grass, anything that surprises her comes to her field of vision. After being boarded for 10 days, everything was so much worse. She tried to attack her doggy classmates shes taken classes with these same pooches for 2 ½ years! Our previous trainer suggested medication, the vet prescribed Prosaic and other than sleeping more, and loss of appetite, her behavior did not improve. We were at our wits end. I contacted Gail @ Lifestyle Obedience and when she arrived at our home the first words out of her mouth were Youre going to have a different dog when I leave. After about 2 hours, we did, indeed, have a transformation I would not have believed possible! Gail didnt use a shock collar or corporal punishment; she just used common sense - dog centered training. Before Gail left, Bella walked down the stairs beside me without any pulling; we walked to the beach without pulling; she didnt bark at the other dogs (people, crabs, etc.) on the beach. My husband and I were flabbergasted! I was skeptical about the longevity of her transformation, but the next day, she was just as calm and compliant as she was when Gail left. Its now been just a week and our Bella walks without pulling, without barking, and she seems so much more calm, and yet not cowed or broken-spirited in any way. I would recommend Gail and Lifestyle Obedience whole-heartedly!Sep 7, 2015Verified
I would highly recommend Gail for any type of dog obedience or training. She is extremely knowledgeable, professional and a true dog whisperer. Her guidance in correcting behavior in my adult dog and training lessons with our large puppy was spot on and successful. I continue to go to her for advice when I face challenges and most of the time the problem is with me not the dog because the dog responds to the training when done positively and correctly per her directions.May 29, 2015
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Fair and the value exceeds the cost.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I first start with their needs, goals, and expectation for a finished product. I am not after the dollar I am after a customer that understands what it takes to get them the dog/companion they set out to have when they brought that bundle home.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?At this point 40 years of experience! I was trained years ago at a full service dog training facility. The woman that I learned from is now since past yet at the time she was the “sought” after trainer in her day. She had the top people in the industry as her clients. I learned basic obedience, competition obedience, confirmation handling, guard dog training and services. K9 training and handling, we provided dogs for TV & Movies, talk shows. The list goes on. I am always looking for anything that will make me a better trainer and dog owner so to pass it onto my clients.
