Lisa's workouts are always changing and she keeps pushing you to new levels of fitness. Spinning, tabatas, tire flipping, floor work, kettle bells, medicine balls...the list goes on. It's actually a lot of fun and I never thought I would say that about exercising!!
I had the pleasure of joining one of Sarahs Saturday morning group Pilates class. Sarah was extremely positive and patient with us newcomers who didnt know the moves. She took the time to give individual attention to everyone in the class when our movements had room for refinement. I was amazed at how she could decipher the smallest adjustments that made a big difference in how the movement felt and the muscles being used. I was apprehensive that having crossfit in the same location would be disruptive, but it wasnt at all. The crossfit space was in a different room altogether, and everyone was extremely welcoming and social with each other.
Kayla is an old friend of mine from San Diego. I was always interested in Pilates but I never had the drive to get started with it. Kayla seemed to have a real eagerness for it and it always came up in conversation, she finally convinced me to give it a try. I came to find out I love the art of Pilates and I only discovered this because she pushed me to try. She helped me more than I could have imagined and truly made me regain my confidence. She was a miraculous, driven, and hard working person. Anyone would be lucky to have her as an instructor. She has a true passion for what she does.
I asked Kara to help with toning and lengthening my muscles and improving my overall fitness. She was GREAT! The hour long sessions really improved my posture over time and I became more strong and flexible. I'm so sad she had to move otherwise I'd still be working with her today. If you want a good hard workout she is definitely the person to see.
When I made arrangements for Karen to come over for the first time, I was a bit uneasy. I had never hired a personal trainer to come into my home before. I was mainly looking for someone to help me lose a few pounds before my wedding; I was NOT looking for a 'boot camp instructor' type of trainer. As soon as I met Karen, I was very much at ease. Her fitness interests and qualifications were exactly what I was looking for. She quickly came up with an exercise plan for me that was effective, but not overwhelming or exhausting. She has a very friendly demeanor, and explains and demonstrates exercises very well without being intimidating or 'bossy'. Even though she has a busy schedule, she has been flexible and accommodating when scheduling times to come to my house. I have also been going to her pilates class at the Norfolk Botanical Gardens, which I love! I feel like a get a good workout without being sore the next day. I would definitely recommend her to someone who has similar fitness/weight loss goals as I do.
