Tony was 1 of 3 people that contacted me through Thumbtack. He has a lot of positive feedback, so that was the main reason I sought to hire him. I messaged him a list of things I wanted done (electrical and putting up wall paneling in a bathroom) and he called me shortly after. We set up a time for him to come out and look at what I needed. After that initial phone call, I messaged him a couple questions, and he responded back promptly. He also had messaged me pics of his current and past projects that were similar to my preferences. He encouraged I checkout his website for past projects and read his reviews. As mentioned previously, he has a lot of happy clients. While I was still a bit skeptical, this pre-meeting communication told me Tony not only knows what he's doing, he is proud of his work as well. He came by as expected, and right away wanted to check if I had the necessary wall panels and trim. He checked out the bathroom and quickly assessed he can do the job. This entailed vinyl wainscot panels on the walls, replacing a towel bar, and replacing the bathroom fan for one that has a light. He suggested that the fan would not provide enough light but that he could install an additional light above my bathtub. I agreed. I asked if he could/would install a light in my coat closet (and yes he would). His quote seemed reasonable to me, so we scheduled it for 2 days later starting Fri. morning). He then called me the day before the job (Thurs. morning) to tell me he had a free window that same day starting at noon and if I was available, he would start then. I luckily managed to pull away from work and let him start the job. I did not expect him to finish by 5pm; I just figured whatever he didn’t finish he would complete the next day as we had scheduled. Nope! Tony confidently stated all the expected work would be finished by the end of the day. One of his crew members, named Edward, came by to assist. The first thing they took care of was a nice job on installing an LED flush mount light (pull cord turns it on/off) in the coat closet. Tony stepped out a couple times to check out other projects he was supervising in the area. The second time he stepped away he informed me that he had to go but that Edward would continue on and finish up. No problem; Edward was working hard away on the bathroom walls/lighting. Tony then messaged me later saying the other project was not ready and that he was on his way back over. While I did not expect it, I certainly appreciated his dedication. Fast forward four (4) hours later, and I was impressed with their work! They did a fantastic job, and it's like a whole new bathroom. They even managed to clean up well without any sloppiness. Edward had pointed out one corner that still needed to be painted, but that he would have to come back at another time as he had to go. One minor complaint: The towel bar was not put up and was still its box on the bathroom floor. When I asked about it, Edward told me that he was not aware of that specifically, and to check w/ Tony. Edward had to go anyway, but since he had just mentioned coming back to paint the corner, I was not too bothered. Tony had communicated later he would make sure that's taken care of. Things get overlooked and I can understand. It was still relieving to hear that it would be addressed. Despite that one (1) con, it was outweighed by the following pros: The rest of the work, the promptness, the cleanup, and the communication. He followed up the next day and asked if my family liked the work that was done (and yes very much so. I almost wish I could take credit for doing all the work!). He has already contacted me saying he would come Sat. morning to finish, but I wasn't home. So kudos for being available to follow through. He has recently messaged me some pics of other current projects and joked that it's from his marketing and sales department. But in reality they sell themselves. I've already decided I will definitely hire him again for my next small project.
I had a great experience with this service provider! He responded quickly to my request, gave me an affordable price and my fence repair work was completed quickly and as promised! The team was also friendly and professional! I think I've found my new contractor of choice!
Ramone did an outstanding job for us - as he completed two projects - (1) deck refinishing and (2) fence repair. He was not only an excellent professional but was kind and courteous. He was an absolute pleasure to have around. I would recommend him to anyone who not only wants a job well done but also cares about customer service.
I had 130 feet of fence installed. After seeing how good it looks, I may have to do the same on the side in which my neighbor owns. Mr Tyree and his assistant (Sorry I forgot his name) were amazing. My initial quote was in Sept 2016 and the weather and the holidays seemed to keep us from confirming a date. FINALLY we able to make it happen. He was thorough when telling me what his process would be and gave me a status at the end of each work day. The job was originally supposed to take 3 days but due to the heavy rains it took5 have no complaints A DEFINITE WIN!!!!!
I needed to have my old shed restored, and they did a great job as you can see from the before and after pics. Also, the house needed some fascia, soffit, and porch ceiling repairs, plus old wood siding replaced with vinyl siding, and all the the house trim painted light tan to match. Several men worked together for 4 consecutive days, and it all came out really nice. They were friendly and polite. Thanks!
It was by chance that I found Greg and I plan on always calling on him for the many jobs around my home. He repaired my fence and resurfaced my chimney trim.
We had vinyl railing put on our porch and they look great! Would recommend him to family, friends & all.
Bob Stewart and Good Neighbor Fence were awesome! We had them install a 4 rail horizontal vinyl fence with attached galvanized wire on nearly an acre. It looks fantastic! Competitive pricing. Bob came to the estimate prepared with examples of fencing types and a (very close) rough estimate. His process was transparent and honest and he was incredibly easy to work with. The crew were great guys; efficient, courteous, tidy and professional. Super pleased! Would recommend and hire again.
I was extremely satisfied with my fence repair and siding repair. His prices are also affordable. I would definitely use him again!
Preston from Oddly Handy applied for a dresser paint job. Once I saw his work I had him paint a few other items, a few rooms, and fix my fence. His prices were very reasonable and he was super patient with me; I can be a tad picky and indecisive. Preston talked me through the work that he was doing and the best materials to use. Everything he did turned out wonderfully. I would recommend Oddly Handy to anyone who wants a honest, reliable, friendly, and fair handyman. Picture: There was an existing fireplace and pallet patio, I wanted it to look better and be able to have some shade. Preston built this pergola in a timely manner and it came out exactly how I imagined! He also helped me hang the lights, since I'm a tad bit short to do it on my own. :)
Gerson helped us with tile installation and replacing the toilet in the bathroom. He did a great job for a great price! i would recommend him.
Jack Robinson, owner of OrnaMetals, could not have been more responsive, professional, friendly, and competent. He delivered an excellent outdoor handrail installation exactly as promised..on time!
Mike did a great job installing our perimeter fence. His attention to detail, flexibility, easy going demeanor, and reasonable prices easily give him a "Excellent" rating. I would recommend him for any project and will hire him again to complete other projects.
Danny helped repair a leaning fence for me. He was professional, timely and fair with his cost. I would recommend him to others.
The "paint crew" came in and were professional and efficient. They wanted to make sure wall surfaces were adequately prepped prior to painting and gave extra attention to a wall that had been covered with mirrors over 30 years. Work was completed in a timely manner and service was exceptional!
Williamsburg construction landscaping company did a fantastic job remodeling my bathroom. Oscar replaced all the old plumbing and got it up to code. He built a new fence for the backyard and got my home looking really good. It was affordable and the quality was superb.
Working with RBR was a pleasure! Not only was the quality of work superb, but the advice given on design decisions has made all the difference. We are thoroughly pleased with both the beauty and the quality of our fence. The company was punctual and hard working; they went the extra mile to finish the job in a timely fashion. We are so glad that we chose RBR!
Mr. Williams was given the task of replacing my fence cleaning my gutters and installing two water barrels. Everything was completed in a timely manner.
