Awesome working with Chris! My daughter has tried piano lessons twice in the past and her interests always fell off, but with Chris she's motivated to even PRACTICE without being told. I'm loving it!!

I used to travel four hours each way to take lessons from Steve. He has a phenomenal breadth of experience with many types of guitar technique. His encyclopedic music theory knowledge is impressive, as is his ability to convey that to the student. Steve has an intuitive gift for determining the student's needs, and tailors his teaching to those needs. Whether you aspire to be a rock star or a classical player, or even that guy at the party who can strum a few chords, whether you're 8 or 80, Steve is the guy for you. He is truly a special instructor and I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Brandon is a wonderful teacher! He is very patient and descriptive, always giving many different options for learning, and makes learning music fun and I look forward to his lessons! He is also an accomplished musician and has performed with many A-list artists- just ask him to tell you some stories, he is funny and fascinating to talk to! He also works with kids and is very patient, and has been giving my friend's son lessons and his progress is incredible in just a few months! We are very happy to have found Brandon, he is wonderful!

Adam has been amazing working with my son! He's extremely patient and makes sure that my son gets so much more out of his lessons other than just learning to play. He's a very talented player himself and my son loves how cool Adam is! Highly recommend him!

Rachel has shown infinite patience with my 10 year old granddaughter who wants to explore her musical talents in guitar. Rachel encourages and waits for Melina to find her way with a note or fingering or her answers. She is very proficient, definitely a step up from the guitar playing band member Melina was taking from before. Rachel looks for excellence and is patient while Melina gets there and makes it fun along the way. Most importantly my granddaughter loves Rachel and going to her guitar lessons.

Nate immediatlely replied to my request for guitar lessons, and went beyond what I would have expected by offering to go guitar shopping with me. He is extremely talented, and he explains things in a way that is easy to understand. He was also very flexible in setting up a lesson time that worked with my schedule.

We ABSOLUTELY LOVE Speak Life Productions. Our two sons take drum lessons there and they love it. They have learned a great deal in a very short timeframe. In fact, with very short notice, both sons played drums for a huge community event - just the two of them. That is something they would never have done prior. The couple who run the company provide exemplary customer service. You have got to check them out!!

Liz teaches the students how to, not just read music and play what is on the paper, but she teaches students how to understand music. She teaches theory and the student begins to use that understanding to create and expand on the music they are learning.

I had an amazing experience learning piano here. My instructor, Sharon, is truly gifted in both her musical knowledge and teaching ability, guiding me through difficult pieces I never thought I could possibly learn. I used Living Waters Music for close to 6 years and enjoyed every minute of it ?

We were very fortunate to find Luck Studios and Ms. Luck through Thumbtack (to think I was originally looking for a handyman). We wanted to give our son piano lessons because his high school didn't offer a music program. He is on the autism spectrum so finding a teacher that could connect with him and be patient with him was so important. Ms. Luck is wonderful. The lessons are affordable, she has a great curriculum and my son seems to enjoy his lessons very much. Thank you!

We feel very fortunate to have found Mrs. Bolds. My daughter has been taking piano lessons for over a year, she enjoys the lessons and her love of music has grown. We have had such a wonderful experience. Mrs. Bolds is very patient, supportive, she challenges, inspires and truly connected with my daughter. I would highly recommend Jennifer Bolds! She is an amazing, gifted and extremely knowledgeable teacher.

About

I am a piano, cello and music theory teacher. I have a BA in Music (Cello Performance, Minor in Piano) earned from a music college in Russia. I am highly professional. Since 2010, my students participated in over 25 recitals and concerts at College of William and Mary, Crosswalk Community Church, King's Way Church, Tabernacle Baptist Church, Greenfield Senior Living, Patriot's Colony, and many other venues. My students also participated in The National Federation of Music Clubs for the last 4 years in a row. All of them received superior rating, and four of them already received Golden Cups. I have been judging piano solo events for the last 3 years. Our recent performing project was playing in the Bard's Market at the Virginia Shakespeare Festival. Three of my students did an exceptional job entertaining the audience by playing a classical piano repertoire. I also provide wedding/special occasion entertainment (cello, piano, and violin) as a trio, duet, solo in any combination.

About

We teach our students to make manageable goals for each lesson so that they can feel a sense of achievement throughout the entire learning process. The smaller goals keep the students motivated constantly enabling them to become a better musician. By focusing on the process of learning, students are learning a set of skills that will enable them to learn pieces quicker and allow for a more rewarding end product. They also are able to apply these learning skills to many different areas of study, which enhances their personal growth. Through SK piano academy, we hope to create an enjoyable learning experience and share what we love most with everyone.

I would love to share my experiences with prospective students by teaching them the fundamentals of music, from everything in between classical and jazz. The lessons offered include one-on-one piano and guitar sessions, as well as bass guitar and classical guitar sessions. I also offer audio recording sessions.

I provide a complete instruction for all string instruments, bowed and fretted. I also give a complete instruction in music theory. I work with live instrumental performance groups. Composition and arranging services are offered. Fees are $35.00 per half-hour lesson. You provide the materials. My goal is to provide each student with the necessary knowledge and skill set to enable them to perform either as a soloist in their home and perform as a member of an ensemble, such as a church, neighborhood bands, etc. I can get this done in a two-year period if the student is diligent with his/her practice routine.
