- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Since all professionals on Thumbtack pay to communicate with our clients on here, I am unable to give any discounts. There will also be sales tax charged of 6% for all work in DC, MD and VA. Let's chat to see if we are a good fit and if I'm able to meet your budget.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After the initial inquiry email, we set up a time to chat over the phone or via text message about any questions you may have. This will help clear up any confusion and make sure we are on the same page. I will then send you a contract to look over and if everything looks good, you can accept your quote and e-sign online. For headshots, I require full payment up front (as they can be booked last minute and often times the next day or so) via credit card or Paypal. Same goes with any session that is booked less than 2 weeks in advance. For any other session or event that is booked longer than 2 weeks out, I require a deposit of 1/2 of the session fee upon signing the contract and the balance at the end of your photography session. For weddings, I would love to meet with you and (your family - if they are involved in the decision making process) in person to go over the details of your special day and to sign the contract together. Freelance photographer since 2008. Worked as the main event photographer for art galleries and private schools in the DC Area. Teach private photography workshops. Attended various photography workshops and conferences. Member of the Rising Tide Society, League of Reston Artists and Professional Photographers of America.
