- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically, I ask my customer what their goal is.... i.e. what kind of hair style do you like, do you want a natural makeup look or glam. I show them some options. I set up a consultation and show them a variety of choices, based on their previous responses.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I received my certification from Flair Beauty Institute, in Richmond, VA. In 1991, and received my cosmetology license that same year. I also have had advanced training from the Hair Cuttery Academy and other advanced classes.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I got started doing hair and makeup when I was a teenager. I always did my friends' hair and makeup whenever we had plans, and I was always experimenting on my own. I always enjoyed the transformation, so I decided to go to cosmetology school.
