Our experience to date has been wonderful. The time Beth takes with my child is great. She is never rushed and provides a wonderful comfort level as her experience with young riders is evident as is her mind and calm demeanor. I definitely recommend Beth and Woodpecker Farm.

Dyan and Lucky are wonderful! She is so patient with my 5 and 8 year old and they both love going to riding lessons with her. Lucky is such a sweet and gentle horse and is a great fit for any rider from beginner to advanced!

Pat Brunson is truly amazing -- the real deal. Over the past few years I've had the opportunity to see the progress he has made with quite a few different Mustangs -- I've seen the horses when he has only had them a short time and then at intervals of weeks or months afterwards. And I've watched how he works with them. It has been the most inspiring thing to watch him take a basically wild and often very fearful horse and gradually create a trusting generous partnership. He is infinitely patient and takes whatever time is necessary to do things the right way -- the slow, steady, gentle way. And he has a lifetime of experience that lets him identify the specific needs of individual horses. No cookie cutter approaches here. Over 50 years of working with horses, I've had the privilege of studying with some great horsemen in different fields and Pat is right up there with the best of them. For solving communication problems and creating a willing partnership, you won't find anyone better!

Charlie Transue is fair yet firm with the horses and his students. He does not use gadgets to train the horse and allows the horse to be who they naturally are. He encourages the owners to be involved rather than be an absent owner. You are included in your horses training. Charlie Transue is a honest to goodness true horseman.
